Extremely Disappointed First off, I called to get an estimate on what it would cost to have the timing belt, water pump, and all the idler pulley’s replaced and was told, on First off, I called to get an estimate on what it would cost to have the timing belt, water pump, and all the idler pulley’s replaced and was told, on two different calls, that it would be around $1200. Ended up costing over $1500. Then made an appointment to drop the car off at 1:300pm and was told that it should be ready later that day... was told it would be a 4hr process. Car wasn’t ready until 12:30 the next day. Felt that there was poor communication between the service advisor and me. More

Super service, my first maintenance at this Luther Alex was very attentive to the issues I brought up with my MDX and checked them before I left the check-in desk. I do not recommend car repair work at a dealer I brought my Subaru Forester into the dealer driving from northern MN for recall work and the evening before I began hearing a squeaking noise when us I brought my Subaru Forester into the dealer driving from northern MN for recall work and the evening before I began hearing a squeaking noise when using the clutch. Since I had an appointment the next day I asked if they could take a look at the clutch. They told me they would need to charge me $165 for a diagnostic test. I have been there several times over the years and received the same print out and I’ve never had to pay a fee to be told what is wrong with my car. When I was called the next day I was told of many issues and provided estimates for the services that ranged from $2200 to $4985. For a 10 year old car those were size able amounts. I said I would prefer to bring my car to my mechanic back home. When I dropped off my car it was driveable but when I went to pick it up I could not engage the clutch. I understand I made the decision to not have the repair work done but was not told it would not run. Needless to say I got the name from a friend of a mechanic who owned his own business, had my car towed there and the work was done for considerably less. I will be purchasing another vehicle soon and will check other dealerships out and most likely not purchase a Subaru as have had many problems on the 3 I have owned. More
