The dealership did an oil consumption test on my car. They said it is using too much oil. To determine what is causing this, they would have to take the engine apart to diagnose the problem. The cost is $1000 and if it's a problem that is covered under my warranty, that fee would be waived. If not, I would have to pay another $1000 to have the engine put back together. I understand it, but I don't like it. Why invest in an extended warranty? More

Since I'm from out of town (90 miles away) they also made time to do a "recall" repair which usually takes an appointment. That saved me a trip. We travel a lot, and gotten our Subaru Forester serviced in numerous Subaru dealers around the country. I've always had the feeling that Subaru takes care of you. More

Quick/easy experience, as always In February I received 3 recall notices, so I called Luther's to schedule the appointment. They were able to fit me in far earlier than I expected, scheduled a loaner vehicle and were able to add an oil change (which was due) to that day's service. I thought about asking for tire quotes during the call, but figured I could chat with someone at the service appointment Andrew greeted me when I arrived, reviewed the recalls, ensured the oil change was added (and quoted the price), completed the loaner vehicle paperwork and noticed the tires probably needed replacing. I asked for a quote, Andrew validated if I was happy/comfortable with current tires and said he'd call me with a quote later. From when I walked in the door to driving out with the loaner was ~20 minutes. Andrew called when the service was completed and had the tires/balancing/alignment quote, it was in line with the other prices I've seen, and I trust Luther to do a job well. I approved the work and was still able to pick up my Forester by 3. More
