My wife and I arrived mid-afternoon on a Saturday to find a brand new building buzzing with activity...It is a Subaru dealer in Vermont, after all. We were quickly set free for an extended test drive and greeted by Joe Mancini on return. Joe proceeded to seamlessly plow through the paperwork and phone call to insurance, including transit plate for New York state, while casually engaging in conversation about woodworking, the days of full-service gas stations and flying powered parachutes. The final few minutes of the transaction were with Ryan Farrell, signing off and paying up with more friendly conversation. The entire transaction went off without the slightest hitch. We were in and out in just over 2 hours with a used car price that was more private owner than dealer. Thanks guys, it was a pleasure. Star and Mike More

The manager was no nonsense and the cars were delivered on time. Pricing was very competitive. For instance on my first time there I had a printout through my insurance company for a guaranteed price at a different dealer. Benn. Subaru matched it, even though they were not in that program and the car had to be ordered. Delivery went well and Lynne personally took me through the Outback's features and the eyesight system (great by the way). Later when my son needed a car in a hurry, Lynne walked me through various used and new options. Chose a new Legacy and was again treated to a top notch experience. Paul from Troy, NY. More
Decietful they advertised a reasonable price for a new 2017 Forester. However they offered me 1200.00 less than the guaranteed Suburu trade in price on my 2014 suburu and could not give me a reason why. The car was in excellent shape, within milage and had already been approved by two Suburu dealers for the guaranteed price. More
Out Of State Customers Beware you will be taken advantage I wouldn't buy from this dealership if you are from another state, they will take advantage of you or not disclose important information. I found out I wouldn't buy from this dealership if you are from another state, they will take advantage of you or not disclose important information. I found out the hard way. Bought a 2015 Honda Fit from them in October and because they didn't tell me that one of the windows was broken and glass got into my heating system causing a $1300 2 weeks into owning the car. They also refused to help me out unless I traveled back (4 hours and over 200 miles one way from my home which would have resulted me losing time and pay from my job) to their location to let them do the work, which from their response I have no confidence would have been done incorrectly resulting in further money out of my pocket. I offered them a fair solution and they refused to work with me. I would do your research before traveling out of state to purchase a vehicle at this dealership. Joe claim that their response from the beginning was to have them do the repair and give me a loaner which is not true. I notified Joe on October 30th about the potential problem. In his response there is no mention of the a loaner or the repair costing me nothing. In fact he claims that if it’s not covered under my warranty then it wouldn’t be covered under their used car warranty. I pointed out to him that there was no used buyer guide stating what my warranty options ( which I did let the Vermont Bureau of Investigation know about). I also gave him Prime Honda/ Evan contact information so that he could speak directly to him before any work was done as you can see in the attached email. I gave him Honda information so that he could contact the dealership and speak directly to the guys working on my car, but he didn’t do that.Joe say they made every attempt to rectify the situation which is not true, when I gave them several options that I thought was fair and the only option they gave me in return is to let their dealership to do the repair and it would be done at no cost to me and they would give me a loaner etc.. Let me explain the cost for me to have them do the repair: a loss of an entire day of pay for myself and my boyfriend (because I wouldn’t drive there and back by myself), mileage on my new car to bring to them, gas and tolls to drive 200 miles and gas for a loaner car I would have to drive until the repairs were done. Not to mention that all would have to be done a second time to get my car back. Yes I did drive from Maine knowing that they weren't a Honda dealership. I was also on vacation the week I purchased the car. I also was not aware that it had a broken window, which caused this repair to be done in the first place or that it was going to cost $1300 out of pocket and that my remaining warranty wouldn’t cover it. This all was discovered 10 -12 days after purchasing it. I am not sure how it works in Vermont, but in Maine you have a 30 day or 1000 mile implied warranty with purchasing a car, so if something goes wrong the dealership fixes or works with you to get it fixed. So I tried to work with Bennington, I gave them the following options: 1.Pay for the repair since the purchase is under 30days 2. Refund my $1000 deposit and I use that to cover the cost of repairs 3. Split the cost 50/50 4. Pay for parts and I will cover the labor Which I thought were fair and reasonable, but no Benningtion refused all my options and only left me with their option which was do the work. I am sorry but after the first response I was given I didn’t feel 100% confident with the dealership I purchased the car from because they were basically telling me it was my problem.I also worked in the auto industry here in Maine for almost 6 years so the " scare tactic" about possibly voiding my warranty is not a tactic, I have seen it happen and I didn't want to take that risk. Which I also explained to Joe, that is when he suggested that a driver come bring me a loaner and take my car. Which since I brought my car to the Honda dealership to diagnose the problem they had to take apart my dash to do so, I told Joe that my car was apart and that the dash would need to be put back together and pay for the labor bill that was at Honda for their time they had put into it and that was the last time I heard from him. I want everyone to know that this dealership will take your money and leave you hanging especially if you are from another state. More

Except for Lynne Taylor this place SUCKS! I had an appointment with one sales guy, Justin, and I arrived for my appointment and he had just stepped out. Lucky for me because the salesperson wh I had an appointment with one sales guy, Justin, and I arrived for my appointment and he had just stepped out. Lucky for me because the salesperson who was available was wonderful, but not wonderful enough to improve this suckful experience. I waited FOUR HOURS (had an appointment to pick the car up at 10, didn't get it until after 2). I told the finance guy a payment range that I would be comfortable with, when I went to pick up the car nobody told me what the payment was going to be but they said it was in my range. After FOUR HOURS I found out that it was $100 more than my range. He said he could refinance it in 6 months. I told him I would be back in 6 months then he started to backtrack what he had said. He made excuses like "it's only $2 more per day." The whole experience was shitty except for Lynne who played with my toddler and even changed his diaper while we waited for FOUR HOURS! Have I mentioned that I waited for FOUR HOURS? More
We purchased a 2009 Subaru certified pre owned Outback in late June at the Bennington, Vermont dealership.. We did not pay much over book value and we noticed some odd looking spots on the paint which looke late June at the Bennington, Vermont dealership.. We did not pay much over book value and we noticed some odd looking spots on the paint which looked like rust. We pointed it out and although they were under no obligation they had a car dr. come and buff the spots out and even went as far as touching a couple of small nicks in the paint job. I don't think they made a dime on this deal and may have even lost money but a good reputation is worth its weight in gold. The new manager is people and service oriented and I would say Joe went above and beyond and did what was honorable. I would recommend them to anyone and everyone. More
