The Best Car Buying Experience We purchased a new car from Lunde’s Peoria Volkswagen. This was my best car buying experience ever. We have purchased many cars over our lifetime and long ago started using a car broker through our credit union because of past experiences at Dealerships. We looked at Lunde’s because of a used car we saw as we were driving by. We were in the market for our son’s first car. We had worked with our car broker but had not been successful. We had been to several Dealerships over the last month and it was a dreaded experience. We understand the salespersons job, but it had not been a good experience until we wound up at Lunde’s. Upon our arrival we met our Sales Consultant Austin Sexton. He was friendly and extremely knowledgeable with every one of our questions. We left the Dealership on Saturday to think about our options. We went back late on Monday, the Labor Day Holiday. Austin and his associates stayed late to help us and the entire experience was enjoyable, fast and efficient. Sarah initially contacted me through SMS text within a few hours of requesting information. I arranged for a test drive with Austin. After the drive, we discussed the "add-ons" provided by LundeVW. A few days later, I informed Sarah that another VW dealership had my desired GTI in the right color , at a desired price and more importantly with a 6-speed manual transmission. She discussed some of the tactics employed to "lure" buyers into a dealership. She also discussed how Lunde VW is different and wanted to know what can be done to earn my business. I shared what I was looking for and Sarah went to work. She called me back in minutes to inform me that they would be able to deliver my desired vehicle in a day or two. Later that afternoon, I worked with Austin and Ty to secure an acceptable purchasing price. Despite being pre-approved for a great rate 3.29%, Ty was able to better that with a 2.9% rate. The purchase price was agreed upon with the stipulation I would finance with VW. Two days later, I completed the paperwork, inspected the car, given a tour of the dealership then drove home a happy customer. From our initial contact through the final delivery the entire process was smooth, straightforward and hassle free. What a refreshing way to run a dealership! No bait and switch, no misrepresentation, no add ons or hidden charges and no endless hours of negotiating. After shopping for our certified pre owned Passat on their excellent website, we spoke with Ray Marin in Lundes' finance department by phone to arrange purchase details. After agreeing on finance terms Ray invited us the dealership to view their expansive inventory of certified pre owned Volkswagens to assure that we were pleased with our selection. We arrived on a very hot Sunday afternoon and met with our wonderful sales rep Jack Jenkins who patiently worked with us as we our explored various options. Not only was Jack very courteous and informative, at no time did we feel that he attempted to sway our selection. Instead he seemed more interested in listening to our desires and concerns. We completed our selection and set up an appointment the next day to finalize our purchase. When we arrived on Monday, both Ray and Jack were immediately available, our new vehicle was ready for us and imagine our shock and pleasant surprise in discovering that Ray had secured an even lower interest rate for our financing that what we had previously agreed upon. We were in and out the door in 25 minutes!!
