I found a used vehicle I was interested in on Cars.com. I contacted the dealer and heard from Ralph Poe fairly promptly. He admitted that the reason the vehicle I was interested in had such a low price was because it had been in their inventory for too long and it needed a home. I made an appointment to see it. The dealership is about 95 miles from my home. On the trip, I realized that I was running late so I called Ralph from my cell phone. He assured me that there was no problem, just to get there safely. Upon arrival, a representative named Alicia greeted me just outside the front door of the dealership with a great big friendly smile. She immediately introduced me to Ralph. He was warm and friendly and no nonsense. I really like no-nonsense people. Without any fanfare or bother, he took me out to the vehicle and we looked it over. He had told me it was very nice and he had not told a story. We got into the vehicle and went for a drive. Ralph was conversive and helpful since I did not know my way around the area. When we returned to the dealer lot, I knew that I wanted the vehicle. He immediately began the paperwork and introduced me to one of the finance guys, Chris Hardin. Chris was very efficient (didn't waste a lot of my time like some finance guys I've encountered), he was friendly and genuine. When I left the dealership, I felt good, not like I had been beaten over the head like I have felt leaving some dealerships. Everyone that I encountered at the dealership was friendly and spoke to me when we passed each other. If this was an act, it was the best I've ever seen. I can tell you that I have tried to do business with my local Toyota dealer several times in the past, but left frustrated after being treated like they were doing me a favor to sell me a vehicle. I will certainly contact Ralph, again when I want to purchase a Toyota vehicle, though it is a considerable drive from my home. Doesn't everybody searching for a vehicle want to be treated with warmth, courtesy and respect? These folks have it, here! More

Ralph Poe helped us find the right car that meets our needs and budgit, he went the extra mile to help us. We had poor credit and didn't think that we could get approved for a loan but Mr Poe got everyth needs and budgit, he went the extra mile to help us. I have been very pleased with the service at Lugoff Toyota. Chris Brown is very good at his job and very personable. Service is done in a timely fashion. The check-up keeps me posted on any new service areas that need attention. I highly recommend this dealership for an initial purchase and then for a continuing relationship for service. More

I was nervous about purchasing from a source other than a Volvo dealership and hesitated in making the 2 hour trip from Charleston, SC. I called and spoke with sales associate Allen, who was very informative while not overly aggressive. He understood that I was still doing some research and was not quite ready to purchase. Allen assured me that the car was in good condition and followed up a few days later with a phone call offering his assistance. I continued my research for another week or two, checking nationwide websites daily when I noticed a significant drop in the price of the Lugoff V50. I called the dealership and was connected to sales associate Ralph. He also proved to be helpful while not overly aggressive. I informed him of my concerns and let him know that I was considering the 2 hour trip to test drive the car. He reassured me the car was in good condition, but also let me know of a few minor cosmetic issues so I wouldn't be surprised when I arrived. The car was in much better condition than the online photos let on and was in great condition mechanically. Ralph and Allen were both on hand to answer questions but gave me my space to examine the car. I decided to purchase and began speaking with Ralph and finance associate Chris (I believe). They made me a very generous trade in offer for my now former Volvo V70 which I happily accepted. They also offered me financing which I declined as I had already set up financing back home. In addition, Chris worked with me when I realized that I had incorrectly filled out the last check in my checkbook needed for a down payment. After my trade in credit, taxes, dealership fees and tag transfer fees, I paid significantly under Kelly Blue Book and got the exact car that I had been looking for. All in all, I am very happy with my purchase as well as my experience with the sales team at Lugoff Toyota. I would definitely recommend them to friends and family in the future! More
