Richard exhibited genuine concern that My Need's and Want's were addressed in selecting the vehicle. He also took the time to insure that I understood the many unfamiliar features on this truck. Working with Richard and Billy Platt I was able to insure that the Maintenance and Warranty work would be handled in a timely fashion. I am Very Happy with this transaction and the subsequent maintenance visits and will continue to recommend Lugoff Ford. In short, Lugoff Ford provides Customer Focused, Personal Attention that I have seen to be absent at a number of 'Mega Dealers" in the Atlanta Area. More
Stopped in at Lugoff Ford on a whim while traveling out of state and left with a new F150.....excellent sales team; they go all the way to get you into a vehicle you like.....of concern to us (since number of state and left with a new F150.....excellent sales team; they go all the way to get you into a vehicle you like.....of concern to us (since numbers can be manipulated to obtain a desired result), was that we were informed of a "glitch" in the paperwork after we had signed off on everything.....the revised documents resulted in figures much more favorable to the dealership, and we were rushed back in to finance to sign them, making us question how good a deal we actually received and whether this was a "mistake" or a "tactic." Otherwise, we were satisfied with our experience. More

I came to Lugoff Ford looking for a truck I found advertised in the Auto Trader. When I arrived, the truck I wanted had been sold. When Trusty Rusty, my minivan, breathed her last breath I was forced to look for a new car. I had not planned to purchase a car for a few more years so I was not looking forward to the process. The word dread comes to mind. After several bad experiences, I reluctantly went into the dealership. The entire atmosphere was different than all the other places we visited. Nik was a great listener and asked probing questions to make sure he wasn't wasting my time by showing me vehicles that didn't meet my requirements. It was crystal clear he wanted to make sure I found my dream car that would make me happy for years to come. It seemed like a long drive to Lugoff, but it soon became obvious that I made the right choice. The few extra miles were a distant memory as I realized that I was truly receiving top-rate customer service and family-like friendliness. Even the staff members who were not helping me were chatting with my kids and I as I waited for Nik to bring vehicles around to test drive. When I decided which vehicle I wanted, Jennifer and Billy in finance helped put all the pieces together for a financing solution that met the needs of a family on a budget. I just went to look in the last few minutes on a Saturday night. Every body was great. Ethan took me for a couple test drives and found the perfect car for me. Richard is a gem! The facilities are nice, the people very friendly, and there wasn't any pressure to buy. I was surprised at how close to Columbia they are, and the drive, even up Two Notch Road, is qui very friendly, and there wasn't any pressure to buy. The finance person Billy Platt treated me and my wife in a most condescending and arrogant manner. He consistently gave half-answers to our questions and tried to make us feel stupid. My wife couldn't take it any more and actually walked out of his office in disgust. On a question about having a loan co-signer his only response was "You don't want to go there." On why his estimate of interest rate was so high, "What did you THINK it was going to be?" He also didn't disclose that he had added an extended warranty for $1700 dollars into the loan amount until we questioned why the monthly payment was going to be so high. Billy made us wait over an hour to remove it from the deal while he chose to help another customer, then unbelievably compared the extended car warranty to medical insurance asking if we would consider going without that. Throughout the process, he mentioned things like "You don't understand how much of a burden this is on me," and "I'm doing you a favor." This treatment turned an OK car-buying experience into a nightmare. More
