My visit to Lugoff Chevrolet was overall one of the worst experinces I have ever had at a dealership. Initially the visit was okay at best, I had arranged my deal over the phone with a sales attendant and af experinces I have ever had at a dealership. Initially the visit was okay at best, I had arranged my deal over the phone with a sales attendant and after getting my offer in writing I proceeded up the next day. This is when things started to go south. The staff, although friendly, gave an impression of incompetence. What should have been a simple trading of keys and signing of paperwork took multiple hours to complete. At the time they were not busy, had maybe one other customer inside and had no excuse to take as long as they did. Now I will say other dealerships I have given my business to were not the quickest, but still much quicker than Lugoff. After leaving the dealership with my new to me vehicle I thought it was over, boy was I wrong. This dealership took an entire month to send the pay off check to my previous lender. I attempted calling multiple times, and was sent to voice-mail each time. After finally getting in touch with a manager, he related to me that the vehicle would be paid off, after another week went by it still was not paid off. They waited until the day that my payment was due, on the vehicle that I did not even possess anymore, to pay it off. My second complaint is that I have still yet to receive the title to the vehicle I purchased. They advised me that there would be a slight delay due to DMV/COVID-19 precautions, but it has been 2 months. Seriously, 2+ months, and I do not have paperwork showing that the vehicle I paid for belongs to me. Before anyone makes assumptions that a lien holder would keep my title, I just want to make it clear that I used positive equity to pay for the entirety of the vehicle. I strongly reccomend anyone to look into previous reviews, many have the same complaints I do. Avoid this dealership if at all possible. Also they want you to leave a review on Google for them ASAP, DO NOT DO THIS. Wait until all paperwork has been 100% processed and everything is done and over with prior to leaving any kind of feed back. More
