Hello, I am very sorry to hear that we did not meet your expectations for repairing an issue with your vehicle. For any repair concern, we do have to duplicate an issue to determine the cause of the failure, so we can make an accurate repair. We did attempt to duplicate the issue again at no cost to you when you were in for service this most recent visit, but as we were unable to duplicate it, we cannot order any parts. We did perform a radio update as a proactive measure and advised you to monitor the situation. As a retired computer scientist, I’m sure you understand the frustration of an intermittent failure, and how difficult it can be to properly diagnose these issues. Please contact us if the issue persists, and if we can determine the part has a defect, we are happy to perform the repairs under warranty at no cost to you. As a retired computer specialist I, of course dealt with lots of intermittent failures but I don’t remember ever telling a user “Too bad. You will just have to be out of work until it breaks completely.” The failures were found and fixed.
