After driving mini vans for 15 years, deciding on the next style of car to purchase was difficult. Months of every kind of research was helpful. I visited 3 dealerships over a 2 week period and was not pressured at any one. The Camry, the employees, and the Priority for Life program were reasons for returning to Priority Toyota Richmond. I feel comfortable having made this car purchase and comfortable riding in a Camry--a new sedan experience for me. Thank you for your respectful attitude and patience--and making the numbers work for me. More
Would I recommmend Priority Toyota? Yes, for the Priorities for Life that come with used vehicles, and for Jeannine McDevitt's impassioned pleas when settling on the final price. No, for the bit of Priorities for Life that come with used vehicles, and for Jeannine McDevitt's impassioned pleas when settling on the final price. No, for the bit of disrespect expressed towards other vehicle makes and the length of time involved in the dickering process. As I wrote the Gen'l Mgr, Priority would not be the first dealership I'd recommend to friends. Jeannine, you were wonderfully entertaining, and I know where you'd "seen" me. My twin brother had purchased a RAV4 last year(?) from Priority. Excellent memory! Daniel Dykes, thank you for your patience and help in answering questions concerning the warranty requirements and line items on the sales sheet! Tony, I really did enjoy meeting you. Maybe next time we can cut to the chase, eh? I'll be better prepared next time, but it might be another six years! More
Todd and Steve were wonderful and let us tell them what we wanted. Once we conveyed to them what we wanted, Todd and Steve gave every effort to make it happen. We were very satisfied with the customer service, the dealership and the car, a Toyota Venza. Todd Barnes made sure we were getting the attention and service we needed and followed up with a phone call Monday morning (we bought the car on Saturday) to see how things were going and if we were still in love with the car. We would recommend working with Todd Barnes and Steve Cochran. In addition, the Finance Manager, Kenney Williams was very helpful, informative and most importantly not pushy. We would recommend Priority Toyota to our friends and others. More

We came in on a Saturday to look for a new Tundra. They didn't have the one we wanted on the lot. We asked if they could find one for us. They wanted us to sign a blank sheet of paper saying we would buy t didn't have the one we wanted on the lot. We asked if they could find one for us. They wanted us to sign a blank sheet of paper saying we would buy the truck if "terms were agreeable". Well, there were no terms on the paper, so we weren't going to sign something for them to look at the stock. We spent 4 hours discussing what we wanted only to leave, because they wouldn't give us the information without signing the paper. We came back for an appointment on Wednesday. We spent 3 hours debating on the price of the vehicle. We finally got something that was agreeable at 9:00 at night (closing time). We decided to think about it, since they were closing and call them back the next day when our sales rep got in at 12 with a decision. When we called, we asked if the price was still the same ($31,538), he said yes. We got there at 5:30 only to find out that the price was $600 more than it was the night before. Not only that, they added $600 to the sticker price without even adding anything extra (ie $600 worth of product; bedliner, mats, etc). They decided to take off "$100 for agruements sake". We didn't agree, so the Louis Lucas came over and said that he would cut it in half as long as we filled out the survey saying that the service was great. He said they worked hard to get the presidential award and he wasn't going to sell the car to an unhappy customer. He didn't say that he would try to make us happy only that he wouldn't sell us the car. We went ahead and agreed to the $300 over sticker price, because we were tired of argueing. After that complete frustration, we went to financing department. We asked how much we would be paying without adding anything extra, and we told "well he has you at $572". We would have liked to have some say in terms and conditions instead of what the sales manager put us in as paying. We assumed the financing was at 5 years, but it was at 6.5 years. We wanted to make sure we weren't paying too much over the term of the loan, so we asked if it was better to have 2.9% APR or $2000 cash back. He told us that it would be better to get the $2000 cash back instead of 2.9% financing. After coming home and researching, we found out the 2.9% saves us $3000+ over the life of the loan. He also wouldn't tellus how much the price of added benefits were only what they added to the monthly price. We wanted to know it was going to cost $2000 not $20 a month. In the very beginning we wanted to add a bedliner, tow mirrors and floor mats to the truck. We told the sales rep, sales manager, and financing person. Steve Cochran wouldn't add those items to the deal, however he did tell us that we could get what we wanted at cost and it would be about $500 for everything ($350 for spray in bedliner, $112 for floor mats, and $150 for tow mirrors). When we finally got up with the delivery coordinator, Shauneen, we found out that we couldn't add the cost to the financing, but we could "just put it on a credit card." She explained that the bedliner would cost $695, and the sales team "couldn't be held liable" for giving us the wrong price because "they didn't know". Our initial thought wasm, if they didn't know then why on earth would they give us the price in the first place??? So, we called the store that Shauneen told us Priority uses, we found out the price would be $425. So apparently, Steve was dead on when he told us the wholesale cost of the bedliner. We also found out that we order the floor mats through the service department. It would have been nice to know that so that we could have gotten them initially instead of waiting two days. In summary, Priority Toyota's sales team will tell you whatever you want to hear to get the sale and will NOT hold up their end of the bargain. Go to Haley or McGeorge Toyota. I think Priotity's main concern is getting good grades on their surveys not actually making the customer happy. More
Stephanie King is the only person in the state that I trust to service my car. She is friendly, reliable, dependable, and trustworthy. I know that I can always depend on Stephanie to tell me the truth trust to service my car. She is friendly, reliable, dependable, and trustworthy. I know that I can always depend on Stephanie to tell me the truth about the problem with my car. She goes out of her way to make sure that her customers are taken care of and feel comfortable once the work is completed. I will continue to send my friends and family members to have their car serviced with Priority Toyota as long as Stephanie remains an employee with this company. Stephanie should train other service personnel on how to deal with the public. I can not begin to say enough good things about Stephanie King. Toyota should do whatever it takes to retain her as an employee. When the time comes for me to purchase another car, she is the ONLY person that I will deal with even though she is in service. I also had a wonderful experience with Jack Russell in the body shop. Jack made sure that I was comfortable in a very stressful time. I will continue to go to Priority Toyota as long as employees such as these two continue to remain employees. More
After researching cars for the past several months, I decided to car shop this weekend. Since my last car purchase was 8 years ago in another state, I wasn't sure where to begin my search. After narrow decided to car shop this weekend. Since my last car purchase was 8 years ago in another state, I wasn't sure where to begin my search. After narrowing down the type of car I wanted to a couple options, I went online to look at local dealerships. I found several located within a few miles of my home, but chose to drive a little further to Priority Toyota after seeing the favorable ratings on this website. It was the right decision! From the moment I stepped out of my car, I was warmly greeted - not attacked, not pressured - only treated with kindness and respect. I'm not an easy sell, but thanks to an awesome salesman, Daniel DeBrow, I left that day elated with a new Camry. It's rare in the car sales industry to find someone with character and integrity, but that's exactly what I experienced. He not only provided me with information to make an informed decision, but even encouraged me to drive both the Camry and another make of car that had been traded in and was on my list to consider purchasing. Special thanks also to Louis Lucas for helping make the numbers work, and to Rick Llewellyn who jumped in to assist when it was time to take possession of the car. Throughout the entire purchase process, everyone who walked past me in this dealership acknowledged me with a smile and greeting. Great teamwork! Thanks for exceeding my expectations! I LOVE my car!! I had my brakes changed, after which I could hear a clicking sound in my right front wheel. This distubed me since it was my wheel. After bringing my car back twice to Priority Toyota to find the sourc clicking sound in my right front wheel. This distubed me since it was my wheel. After bringing my car back twice to Priority Toyota to find the source of the clicking sound, on the second visit, the source of the sound was discovered. The hubcap cover was the source of the clicking sound. The mechanical work done to fix the brakes was done perfectly. The discovery was adriotly and quickly made by the team captain, Miles Morton, obviously based on his great experience and training. Thoughout this whole episode, all service persons involved, especially the Service Administrator Terry Richmond, and the other mechanics were very friendly, professional with very positive attitudes trying to find the problem. Because of the positive vibes and the good outcome, I was not at all annoyed by the situation. More
