So we began to test drive Mercedes Benz key competitors. BMW, Acura and of course Volvo. When we decided on Volvo we went to 3 different Volvo dealers. 2 dealers are within 5 miles of our house. We struck a deal with Volvo in Danvers. But it did not feel like the experience we are used to. Family owned business with focus on customer service. So I reached out to a cousin of mine who works for a company that tracks major metrics that should be important when choosing a dealership to do business with. She recommended Lovering Volvo of Nashua. This dealer is 35 miles and about 40 minutes from our house. When I presented the offer we were given Joseph Rhodes was our initial point of contact. He discussed the deal with Rick Lovering and they agreed to match or beat the offer we had in hand. Great Part 1 - success. Yesterday we went to finally meet the company key players in this deal. We also met Jesse who was very helpful in going through the vehicle options. Joe was helpful in facilitating the deal and Rick Lovering has been helpful locating our vehicles. Companies spend thousands of dollars in advertising trying to build a brand name. I always say the best adverting comes from word of mouth. A happy customer creates new customers. A disgruntled customer tears down a brand and reputation. I'm confident our deal will close this week as soon as Rick locates our vehicles. But I thought it was important to share my perspective and experience with someone trying to decide on where to buy their next vehicle. Although the dealership was fairly busy (it was late afternoon), we were greeted warmly by James Malone, took a car for a test drive (alone - felt good to be able to converse freely with my spouse without having a rep in the car with you), and ultimately purchased the best car ever! James even entertained the kids free of charge while we finished up the paperwork with the nicest Finance person I've ever dealt with. Upon picking up a clean, shiny new car at the time we chose, Tom Coutu was professional, knew the vehicle well, helped with the complete setup of the car (including all the amazing techie features), and we were able to drive it home with all my preferences set and ready to go.
