My Volvo was taken in for an oil change, a total cleaning, detailing and inspection. At some point, I was called and told the car would NOT pass inspection and needed almost $2000.00 worth of repai cleaning, detailing and inspection. At some point, I was called and told the car would NOT pass inspection and needed almost $2000.00 worth of repairs. I questioned what repairs were needed as it seemed excessive. After some discussion, I was told if they could replace the rear brakes, they could put on a 60 day temporary inspection sticker. I agreed to this as we were leaving on a trip that afternoon and needed the car. When we went to pick up the car, it was not ready, hadn't been cleaned as agreed and, after leaving, I discovered the oil had NOT been changed and there was no new inspection sticker. I took the car to another Volvo dealership later on and the car passed inspection! I said nothing when I dropped the car off as I wanted to see what would happen. I would never recommend this dealer to anyone. More

In December 2009 our daughter and son-in-law were on their way to visit us in Moultonborough. During the ride from Massachusetts on Friday night our daughter called to tell us that a warning light came their way to visit us in Moultonborough. During the ride from Massachusetts on Friday night our daughter called to tell us that a warning light came on the dash in her Audi and she wasn't sure what it meant ( it looked like a Christmas ornament with an X through it ). Since my husband also has an Audi he looked up the symbol in his Audi book. He determined that a taillight was out. On Saturday morning we sent them into Meredith to purchase a bulb from a local auto parts store but no one there was able to explain how they were to install it. They called our house to explain the situation. I told them that I thought the Service Department at Lovering Volvo ( where I purchased my Volvo ) was open on Saturday morning. They drove up the street and found that they indeed were open until noon. I had told our daughter to mention that I was a customer but she did NOT do that. She went to the service desk and explained the problem and asked if they could help. The service manager told them it could be done in ten minutes so she gave him her keys and the already purchased bulb. Ten minutes later it was done and when she asked how much she owed them she was told that there would be NO charge! She was astounded and grateful. The following week when I returned to Lovering for a scheduled maintenance appointment I mentioned this story to the service manager ( who remembered the situation ) and was told that they do this sort of thing all of the time. I continue to be pleased with the service department and also with the salesman who sold me the Volvo. His name is Dick Hastings and he has always been extremely helpful and friendly whenever I am in for service. If I needed a ride somewhere while waiting for my car he has either arranged a ride or driven me himself. Lovering Volvo of Meredith is the best car dealership I have ever experienced. More
Lovering Volvo was able to diagnose and repair an intermittent problem with the AWD function of my 2005 XC90 that the Volvo dealer I purchased the vehicle from was unable to find despite three separa intermittent problem with the AWD function of my 2005 XC90 that the Volvo dealer I purchased the vehicle from was unable to find despite three separate visits. The significance of the situation was heightened by the fact that the vehicle had 99K+ miles on it with the 100K mile Extended Warantee soon to expire. Chris Carter and his mechanics worked diligently to diagnose and repair the problem and in doing so saved me $4,500. It was the best customer service interaction I have ever experienced. More
