My husband and I had been actively looking for a new car for me for at least three months. Going to different dealerships, trying different models, talking with salespeople...not really finding the right c for me for at least three months. Going to different dealerships, trying different models, talking with salespeople...not really finding the right combination of dealership and cars. I was getting discouraged. I've been in sales nearly my whole life and recognize a good sales person when I see one. Not slick, not overpowering, but someone who truly loves his/her job and loves the product they sell. I lucked out. I saw a used car that was traded in for a Volvo through the Concord Lovering, something we might be able to afford. Dick Hastings got us two cars from Concord. I didn't like the first one and I hated to ask for "another favor" for the second one. Dick NEVER made me feel uncomfortable for asking. The car arrived the same day I asked, I took it for a spin and declared it sold! Just like that. But the most incredible part of it all was the day I went to pick it up was just before this last snow storm. The staff got the finances done efficiently, no issues...Dick walked us to the car to give me some last minute instructions. It was starting to snow, so we were anxious to get going. He saw me carrying a CD. I wanted to see how it sounded. He paused. There are no CD players in the modern cars in general. I never thought to look in the beginning. His priceless words were..."But I want you to be happy!" I don't know a single business that would curtail a big sale like this one and be willing to cancel it for a CD player!! I was so stunned and touched. That one act cemented the deal for me. Not just for the car, but for the salesmanship and honest dealings of Mr Hastings. I'd figure out something else for my music. Truly Bravo and my lucky day to end up at Lovering and dealing with Dick Hastings. More
