Oil change and leak I felt very uncomfortable with the service that I received. It was as if I should be buying a new vehicle. The service person told me I had an oil lea I felt very uncomfortable with the service that I received. It was as if I should be buying a new vehicle. The service person told me I had an oil leak suggested that I needed the timing chain replaced, etc. I had advised him previously that it had not been leaking oil until my last oil change. And then I still had a lot of miles left but decided to bring it in because of the leak. I just had had the service package done on it where they change the water pump all the timing belts etc. Did not have a good feeling about the service. I felt as if I was being upgraded on service or pushed into buying a new vehicle. More
Do not buy a used vehicle here I purchased a used Jeep and live two hours away. My sales associate verified through email the service department thoroughly inspected the vehicle wi I purchased a used Jeep and live two hours away. My sales associate verified through email the service department thoroughly inspected the vehicle with no outstanding issues or recalls (asked specifically). Half way there to close the deal I learned it had an airbag recall (they did not work) and a radiator leak. They agreed to replace the radiator and deliver the vehicle in a few days so I continued and completed the purchase. During the test drive, I again verified the vehicle was inspected (based on missing two known items) and more specifically, the brakes. James assured me it had, they are family owned, and have a great reputation. I take any used vehicle to a trusted mechanic who found the brake pads worn unevenly to the metal, both calipers were nearly non-functional, parking brake disconnected and two broken guide pins. Seat belts were inoperable (would not lock on impact) and valve cover gasket was leaking at the estimated rate of one quart every couple of months (a LOT!). They clearly cleaned the oil from the engine and transmission. I then had to take the vehicle to a Jeep dealer to have the airbag recall and seat belts repaired. I purchased an “inspected” vehicle with no major issues, which, required nearly $1,100 in repairs and two 2 day visits to shops to be safe. I sent pictures and a very nice email advising them of the issues. The only person responsive is Bonnie, the internet sales associate who was great. James, the sales associate, Mike the GM and Chad the owner have not returned a single message over the course of three weeks. I originally gave them 5 stars on their survey because of Bonnie. Unfortunately, their lack of courtesy or concern cause me to write the first negative survey of my life. I would not purchase a used vehicle from Love dealerships. More
