But the Fusz team at Old Olive Street really deserves credit for making an experience that could have been tough, easy: Our family owned two Subarus purchased from Fusz: a 2012 Outback and a 2015 Forester. Two days before we were to depart to Europe for a month to attend our daughter's wedding the Forester was totaled and I needed to arrange a replacement by long distance. Mark Linneman in the collision center looked after my destroyed Forester. He retrieved license plates, loose change and several accessories, and kept them for me until we could return. After some online research I quickly concluded the 2016 Forester was the best choice (top pick at Consumer Reports, again), and contacted Stephanie through their website, as I had the first two times. She provided price and availability details on several alternatives right away. We completed all the arrangements using email and the web-based "chat" function. The car was ready the week we returned home, with all the business and other details settled exactly as we had discussed. Many thanks to the whole team! One additional note: The 2015 Forester performed incredibly in the crash that destroyed it. The front crumple zone did its job, ALL of the airbags deployed -- literally shredding the car interior -- and I walked away with only a bruise from the seatbelt. I say: buy a Subaru and live. More

I rarely take the time to write reviews, but decided to do this one because of the ease and the high quality of our salesman. There were several potentially-complicating factors in our purchase. In order to get the features we wanted on this very popular model, we had to order it from the factory (which we had never done before.) We got a guaranteed price through TrueCar pricing. We handled the entire transaction by phone and email. And lastly, we live 250 miles away from this dealership. (They gave us a price that was almost $500 cheaper than all our local dealers.) Despite all these unusual circumstances, the sale went very smoothly. The car arrived from the factory several weeks earlier than the original estimate. We were able to make a specific appointment to pick it up. Our salesman Christopher told us to allow several hours for them to be able to fully explain the car and all it's features. Initially we thought this was a little excessive, but after having the car for over a month, we're grateful that it was so thorough. While additional services and products were offered, there was no push to purchase them. In the succeeding days, Christopher checked back with us to see if we had any questions. Too bad we live so far away as we would certainly have used them for ongoing servicing. More

From the start, Lou Fusz Subaru St. Louis had the most up-to-date website, and requests for additional information were met by Stephanie Stinebaker quickly and without any run-around. When we went in for a test drive, Ray Clancy was really lovely and helpful. We came back in two days after getting insurance sorted to pick up the car; Ray was delayed returning to the dealership but arranged for Chris Peterson to take care of us until he was back, and Chris was equally lovely, walking us through the essential features (and making some helpful restaurant recommendations to boot). Rick Summerfield walked us through the finance procedures with clear explanations of all our options. The overall experience left us truly impressed and appreciative that everyone made this process so easy. More

There are 2 people with the name of "Chris" so that is why he must use "Christopher" be sure to ask for the 3 syllable "Chris" or "Christopher", you will not be disappointed. I have purchased a previous car from this dealership, but "C H R I S T O P H E R" was phenomenal and really knows his "car stuff". More

Christopher went out of his way to find me the exact vehicle I was looking for. He is very knowledgeable about the products, very professional, patient, understanding, and accomidating. I felt no pressure at any time during the buying experience, either time. Clearly I would not have returned for a second purchase if my initial experience had not been so positive. Christopher did a very thorough job explaining the vehicle and was willing to spend as much time as I needed to understand the various aspects of my new Crosstrek. John the sales manager is also great and Stephanie who fields internet is wonderful. There is a great family like vibe in the dealership which makes the whole experience that much easier and smother. The finance guy was so respectful and no pressure. He introduced the various options for warranties, etc, but I never felt overwhelmed. I walked out of his office feeling great. All in all, I really cannot imagine a more positive buying experience. And I just realized that i haven't said that I got a very good price on my purchase. Service department is excellent as well. Good job Lou Fusz Subtaru, I love my new Crosstrek. More

From the moment we first walked into this dealership, feedback and communication from our salesperson, Chris J., was scarce, but this place is around the corner from our house and we were promised a great price while he searched for the right new Outback. After 3 weeks, Chris J. told us he found the right car and he would have it shipped from Chicago. We settled on a price and provided the requested $1000 deposit, the car was to arrive 7 to 10 days later. We received a call 5 days after and Chris J. said that our car was sold by mistake. He mentioned another similarly equipped Outback is in Texas but we would have to pay an additional $900 for it, I respectfully declined and told him I would come in person to discuss. Curious, I called the Chicago dealership and found that exact car, still available for purchase. Unfortunately, this is a very far drive and would be difficult with my schedule. We went to the dealership to speak with Chris, but he was not available. Obviously upset, another salesman, Chris S., insisted he would “get to the bottom of this and make things right”. After several minutes at his desk, he told us that he can order the properly equipped Outback but now it would cost us an extra $1100 for the same vehicle and told us he would not be able to honor the agreed upon price. I can understand a salesman making a mistake, but I believe there is more going on. It appears a great deal is promised with a dangling carrot. Once you have your heart set and the excitement grows, they use a very perverse tactic to scam more money. The lies, deceit and manipulation are very unprofessional. I couldn’t believe the disrespect and audacious attitude. We demanded our deposit and received it, but when we were walking out, three salesman were looking at us and not one of them had the decency to walk over and offer any explanation or apology, in fact, not once at any point have we received an apology. Shame on you Lou Fusz Subaru, this was the worst experience I ever had… FYI: We purchased a car from Dean Team Subaru, their price was much better then the faux price promised at Lou Fusz and the respect and courtesy was exactly what you expect when purchasing a new car. Chris spent a lot of time explaining all of the features of this new car. In Sep 2014, I bought a Subaru Forester from Chris and I was so satisfied with that car and the deal that I got then, that I returned to the same dealer and the same sales rep this year. Chris knows the product that he sells and never exhibits an aura of pressure to buy. I have been satisfied with both of the cars that I bought from Chris. That is why I bought two in a row. This may not be my last purchase either, time will tell. No matter, I will return to Chris and his Subaru dealership. More
