Appointment was made for a Friday. Told person making appointment that I would need a loaner car. She said no problem. Show up for my car drop off and the service person says that they Told person making appointment that I would need a loaner car. She said no problem. Show up for my car drop off and the service person says that they don’t loan cars out on Friday’s because they will be out all weekend. I said the person that made the appointment said that everything was good to go for the car drop off. The service person replied, “she’s a receptionist.” I replied, “what does that mean?” She did not answer that question. Not a very good look for the service department to make the customer feel guilty for asking for a loaner car, and then also blaming “the receptionist” for making the appointment. How does a customer know the appointment protocol of a service department on who can and cannot make service appointments and what they can or cannot do when making the appointment? And why make the customer feel bad for making the appointment to begin with? A bit disappointed at the whole interaction with that person in the service department. More
