Well on our first visit for Service, almost no vehicle to drive while we were waiting ( we were not only having oil change, also putting remote start on ) We had notified Accessory Dept. that we would need vehicle to drive. Service had no record of that. After paying several hundred dollars, had to go find our car, no one offered to show us how to use our new remote start, and car was not washed. One must have to spend more that we did to get the advertised Complimentary Car Wash with any Service. May or may not give them a chance with our second advertised oil change, we will see. More
Was told that vehicle would be finished by noon the next day. Received no call. When I called at 1:00, I was told it would be 4:00 or 5:00. We live 45 miles away. Tim got me in for a mechanical repair on short notice, and out again very quickly. This was important because I was in town for only that day and had to have the truck. I understand how busy everybody is at Long MacArthur but they still get the job done properly. They still have the time to listen to all concerns and handle them professionally. Monte Brent has been very helpful from the time I inquired about the F150 I purchased. Of course the service after the sale makes the difference. We tried a couple of cars and made a decision. They worked with us to get the price we needed. I love their guarentee when buying a vehicle with them. I felt very comfortable buying a car (not usually the case for me) and have had a follow up phone call to make sure I was still happy. Probably the best experience I have had. More
I have purchased 4 vehicles from Long McArthur. Two within 6 months of each other. The sales experience was very good. The service department was horrible. The Explorer required service that was not within 6 months of each other. The sales experience was very good. The service department was horrible. The Explorer required service that was not done properly and had to be re done. The Ranger had a defective transmission and they could not seem to get it repaired, and suspension was leaning to the left one whole inch and the dealer would not repair it, said it was within specs from Ford. I cannot recommend this dealer to anyone. Shame on you Ford for allowing these people to stay in business. I still have the Explorer and have it serviced at another dealership that wants to keep me happy. The ranger is gone, traded for another new ranger at my current dealership in Hutchinson,KS. More
I have taken my 2009 Ford Edge to Long McArthur's dealership since I bought it new for all routine service. The first couple of times I was very impressed with the service, the turn around time, and happily suprised that my car was give back to me washed. In April, when my car was serviced, I admit I was disappointed that my car wasn't washed like it had been on all the previous appointments. Last Friday, July 29th, I had an appt. at 3:00 to have my Edge serviced and the tires rotated. I brought in my coupon for "The Works" and gave it to Alex. I took a seat and waited what I thought would be less than an hour. After an hour and fifteen minutes I got up and waited next to the service desk where Alex works. I was ignored. After one hour and thirty minutes I walked up to Alex and explained that I was on a schedule and was quickly running out of time. He told me it would just be a few more minutes. Fifteen minutes later my car came out of the shop. My compensation for over an hour and forty-five minutes of my time was a $7 discount. I was not even given the courtesy of knowing why my service took so long. Oh, and again, my car was not washed. I happened to see the one page ad in the Salina Journal Sunday advertising "The Works" and a car wash with every service. Really? That was not the case with me. I have three months to decide what dealership will be servicing my car. I'm not sure it will be Long McArthur. Kari More
