The dealership exhibited great customer service from the time I walked in for my appointment and then leaving with my new Maverick. Deric Lee is very knowledgeable and I felt that he tried his best to provi time I walked in for my appointment and then leaving with my new Maverick. The finance guy did a good job of explaining warranty options and aftermarket products to enhance vehicle life. Shawn Zeedyk also did a good job of explaining the accessories available and got the Maverick scheduled to have the heated seats added. Overall it was very good experience. More
I wish I could rate them less than a 1. We traded our 2 year old Bronco which they said wasn’t a nice vehicle- they raised the price $20,000. After a recent car accident that left me without a vehicle I called him to help find my new car. Not an easy task as I wanted a specific make, model and color. Within an hour he not only found the EXACT car I wanted but found 2 of them. He assured me which one would be the better deal (as they were both at separate auctions), and got to work getting it to Long McArthur. He had an answer for every question and videos and pictures to keep me up do date. He was happy for me and so wonderfully helpful along the way. I consider Lonnie a friend as that’s the only way you can describe someone that truly has your best interests in mind beside your family. I picked up my beautiful new car today and was overwhelmed with joy. It is exactly what I wanted and more. You will want to ask for Eric at Long McArthur Ford. I live 520 miles from the dealership and made a deal over the phone with a guy I had never met and a dealership I had never heard of. I’ve been buying cars since 1972 and this was one of the easiest salesman and dealerships I have ever dealt with. I'm amazed at the service of Long McArther Ford of Salina! It all started with a youtube video with Tim that prompted me to consider Long McArther. I checked out their inventory, saw the truck I've been trying to get for two years (from other dealers) and made the online inquiry, It was a Sunday so it was Monday morning when Alisha called to set up a test drive and let me know that my name would be on the board when I got there matching me to a Salesperson. I got a call an hour later from Eric who was looking forward to helping me get in to my new Maverick. Although my wife and I were a little late, Eric was accommodating and was waiting to welcome us when we walked through the door! It was an easy sell, I already knew exactly what I wanted, so Eric didn't waste any time helping me get exactly that. Everything about the experience was warm and receptive. They absolutely went the extra mile. I will probably never go to any other Ford Dealer again! These folks succeeded where all other dealerships I went to had completely failed! More
Avoid this dealership if you are trading in a vehicle - they are happy to exploit customers. I wasted an entire day and several thousand dollars enriching this dealership when I could have had my Maverick they are happy to exploit customers. I was driving in (to utilize A/Z plan & trade-in for KS tax offset) from 2.5 hours away with a 2023 Hyundai Elantra Hybrid Blue. Ahead of coming in I sent photos and asked them to appraise my vehicle for trade-in, they refused saying they need to see it in person. I ignored that red flag, but at the time thought no big deal they would provide reasonable value for my trade-in. I was getting local quotes for $19,700-21,000 (dealerships & online). After their onsite “appraisal” they came back to me with $17,000 quoting the lowest value on KBB under the ‘Fair’ category, while the vehicle is Very Good or Excellent. They refused to improve on their number and played the ‘finance manager’ game three times over the course of 2 hours eventually adding…$250. Normally I would have walked but didn’t have the means to store/transport two vehicles that far away from home. A few days later they listed my trade-in for $27,250. More
They had me over a barrel, but they did not take advantage. MacArthur-Long had several Maverick Lariat Hybrids. Sell it for list price. 3rd star: they gave me a fair trade on my 2016 King Ranch, just from photos. So, I was on my way, cashier's check for the trade-in in hand. 15 miles from Salina my "low oil pressure" red light on the King Ranch started flashing. Seriously. I was either gonna have to fix that sucker and drive it back, or come up with a buncha extra money I didn't have, to pay for that unplanned engine repair. Kudos to Scott, Used Car manager. He took my trade, and I paid some extra but not nearly what it would have been if I had to pay a mechanic to fix it and, in fact, less than their cost of repair. That more than earned the 4th star. Kudos also to Marcus in sales, took great care of the whole process. We made the adjustments, took care of biz, and they had me outta there even with that mess in about 2 hours. 5 stars. Regarding the new Maverick, like wow! what an absolutely superior vehicle. 40 mpg, great ride, solid as a rock, handles great, excellent stereo, Michelin tires, very quiet cab experience. very nice. Hmmm ... that makes this a six-star rating. More
