What's happened to this place? I never thought it possible to consider giving up a brand because of customer service from one location, but my last experience, starting on February I never thought it possible to consider giving up a brand because of customer service from one location, but my last experience, starting on February 10th 2020, has made any future purchases with BMW uncertain for me. After 15 years of using Long Beach BMW for sales and service, my February 10th appointment was not the smoothest. I chalked it up to a bad day, but as I look back, I should have seen it coming. The visit prior to February 10th wasn't so great either. In February, I had some routine work done on my car, and a part was ordered for a rear lightbulb, which I paid for in advance. After almost 30 days, I never received a call back from the service advisor to have the part replaced. Covid 19 hit, and I patiently waited until it was safer to return to the service department. Once things opened up, rather than going to the location, I decided to contact the service advisor. He told me to come in to have the part replaced. When I asked him if the part had been delivered, he said that he would check and get back to me. He never did. A couple days later, I contacted the store again by phone, and I asked to speak to the service manager. I left a message and no one got back to me. The following day, I sent an email to the General Manager and as of this review 2 days later, I never received a reply. Based on reading other reviews, I believe this is a systemic problem and not a problem from one particular employee. Therefore I am not going to name any names. From this experience I have learned the value of customer service. Long Beach BMW will not be impacted by my $117.49 chargeback. But now I am willing to drive almost 20 miles out of my way to get my car serviced by another dealership, not to mention how my brand loyalty is now tarnished. More
