Trouble Getting In October 10th. 2017 To whom this may concern, First, let me beginning by saying that service for my Beetle has been very good over the years and ever October 10th. 2017 To whom this may concern, First, let me beginning by saying that service for my Beetle has been very good over the years and everyone has been most accommodating. Only one time was the inside of my car dirty after a repair and you made it right with an outside detailing coupon. A simple acknowledgement would have sufficed, but hey, the detailing was great! I am currently awaiting a return call from Eric, because Brian said he is the one connected to my request for an inside door handle and soft panel that has come loose from the car door, as well as a new CD player, which I have been advised would require the whole CD/Radio unit. Apparently a new unit does not come with Blue Tooth. My main concern was the CD player. (I still love to play my CDs.) It is Two o’clock and he has not yet called. Here is the back-story. I believe it was Eric who listed all of the things I would need to eventually fix in my car. He also listed them in order of importance, which I appreciate. Neither issue above had occurred at that time. The driver-side handle was still in place and the CD player worked. I cannot afford car payments. I cannot even afford my monthly bills since overtime was discontinued. I’ve been supplementing my income with what is left of my 401K. But I felt it was important to maintain my little Bug so it would last a long time and be in good condition. It has low gas mileage for a 2007 so I want to keep it. I don’t need to bore you further with my finances, but I want you to know that I do not take car maintenance lightly. I’d rather go on a vacation. My first idea was to email you guys through your Lokey website under “Schedule Service.” I listed all the things that needed to be fixed and asked for an estimate. No one called me. I only received calls wanting to sell me a car. I did not pursue an estimate but showed the list to the manager at Tires Plus when I went to get tires (first on the list) and he said that they could do everything that my car needed for less than what the dealer would charge. But mind you, I did not know for sure because Lokeys never sent me an estimate. After the CD player quit on me and I’d been unable to use the handle for quite some time I decided to give you guys a call. I decided that things like handles and radio units would be best purchased through Volkswagon so they would be new parts and installed correctly. I believe my first call was the last week of August with Eric. He told me he thought that both repairs would run 1600.00, which was quite a bit more than I expected, but I decided to go with it and I told him to order the parts. He said he would notify me when they were in. A couple weeks went by, so I called again, and spoke to a young lady who said that the radio unit was there. I asked about the handle and door panel and she put me on hold. She came back and said that it would probably be in the following Wednesday, that the handle took longer to get. I had a suspicion that it had never been ordered, but that was an unfair assumption at the time. I went ahead and made an appointment for Saturday 10/8/16 at 11:00 for both repairs, but I wanted someone to call if the handle did not come in by Wednesday as I was advised. I called Saturday, since no one called, and spoke to Brian. I did not want to come in unless both parts were there. He saw that Eric was assigned to my service call. Eric was not there. Brian said the radio was there. I asked about the panel and handle. He checked and said that no handle had ever been ordered. He said that Eric would call me today. The bottom line is that I feel like my calls have not been important enough to attend to. I feel a little like an outsider at this point, even though I’ve been getting services from Lokeys for years. 1600.00 was removed from my 401K and sits in a savings account I set up just for this reason. One more thing, because this has obviously been too long a letter. The last time I was in I asked for Freon to be added to the air conditioner because it was taking ½ hour to get cool. I was told that the air-conditioning unit was worn out and the Freon would only last a week at best, but I paid 80 bucks anyway because I couldn’t afford to replace the AC unit at this time. The car has been blowing cool air after only about 10 minutes and has been working for three months or more, which makes me wonder if there really IS something wrong with the AC unit. I still want the radio and driver side handle and panel, but I think I’ve definitely decided to get the other repairs done at Tires Plus. They have even called to ask how my car was running since I got the new tires. Just sayin. Anyway. I KNOW you guys are very busy. I’ve been there numerous times and I see how busy you are. You’ve been great to shuttle me back and forth to and from work over the years, and in the spring you guys let me use a loaner over the weekend. So I guess I was just surprised that this latest endeavor has been such a challenge. Oh, it’s 2:45 and still no call. Thank you for your time. Debbie. PS. When I got home at six there was a message on my land line, (I gave them my cell to call,) from a young lady at Volkswagon wanting to know if I want to schedule an appointment?? More

Take my Touareg in for an oil change, they strip the hex bolt out and say there is nothing they can do. They tried to blame the last place I took it. Although , I clearly watched the mechanic go at the bolt with an impact wrench more than once. This is the exact reason I watch when I have my car serviced!!! I have purchased 4 cars from Lokey Auto . I will never step foot in this dealership or service department ever again More

Starts great, ends as a joke. Great service advisor. Actual work appears to be a joke. When attempting to sort out the issue and ultimately give them more money, no response from d Great service advisor. Actual work appears to be a joke. When attempting to sort out the issue and ultimately give them more money, no response from dealer. Save yourself the headache and just go to a different dealer. Full story below. Started off fantastic. Spoke with Brian who worked with me and told me about all the repairs they were quoting for my vehicle (some $3000+ of them). He got me a loaner car as they were going to be unable to fix my car that day which I greatly appreciated and he didn't have to do. Brian seemed to do a great job. After I left is when it apparently went downhill, the car was supposed to be done on a Monday, never hear anything, must just be taking an extra day, call in, don't hear anything, they finally return my call and let me know it will be done at some point. Car is finally done 4 days late, seems odd for a professional service department only working on vehicles like mine, but whatever I had the loaner so it was ok. Come in to find out they managed to break my alternator somehow while doing a thermostat replacement and oil change, seems strange, but I look past it as Brian was very nice and I got the loaner, and i really just want to leave with my $700 dollar repair. It is not mentioned as to why the repair took so long I can only speculate that it was due to the extra damages. They of course cover the alternator. Drive away thinking man it feels different. I assume hey, this was the dealer, this is how it is supposed to feel, this is all the new fluids working. Felt like I had lost some power, again assumed it was supposed to feel this way. Couple weeks later, new MIL, turbo underboost, no wonder I had a loss of power. Call in and speak with an operator about this issue and to be contacted by their customer relations person. She is very nice and empathetic, states I will receive a call or email as I requested. No such contact. I did not ask them to cover these new issues nor did I state it was there fault, just looking to find out what the issue and see if this is related to the previous service. To work together like adults. No such luck. Very disappointed as the dealer is supposed to be the best of the best. More
My experience with Lokey was horrible. Your service manager (Dale Krutzik) and the mechanic (Brett) was obviously trying to rip me off. I spoke with Dale several times on the phone before having my ca manager (Dale Krutzik) and the mechanic (Brett) was obviously trying to rip me off. I spoke with Dale several times on the phone before having my car towed in to the service department. He continuously reassured me that it was just a battery that I needed, that all the signs my car was showing was from a dead battery. Once there he continued to say it was the battery, don't worry. After being there an hour, he came back with $6000 worth of repairs. These were written on a normal estimate sheet with your letterhead. He said that I had to do at least $5000 worth of repairs in order to even drive the car out of the service department. He claimed I had a bad battery, alternator, several hoses, brake booster hose, valve cover gaskets, and several other things. I was shocked and asked him to give me a written estimate that I could show my spouse. He said that he could not give me the estimate on the paper he had written it up on but he would type in on another page for me. He did type it on a plane white piece of paper with no date, letter head or signature of any kind. He then took me into the garage to show me my car which was apart in pieces. He showed me a thimble shaped part with a hole in it and said it was an important part of my engine and that the car could not run without it. He said the engine was boring a hole through this important part. He also told me that oil was leaking from my Turbo cut off valve into the computer brain and would short circuit the whole car if I did not get that fixed. He introduced me to Brett, the mechanic, and said that I should only talk to him or Brett if I call in to the service department. I told him I could not afford these repairs. He said that he would be off work the next day and I should not speak with the other department manager, either wait until he returned of talk with Brett only. I felt they were both very shady. I felt they were both trying to take advantage of me being a woman by myself at the dealership. My father was a mechanic and my brother is a district manager for "Just Breaks" I spoke with both of them and read the list to them and they told me they believed that Lokey was trying to rip me off and I should tow it out of there and take it to another mechanic. I did tow it on Monday. I went over the list with the new mechanic. He checked everything on the estimate given to me by Dale. My battery was fine. I did need an alternator. Nothing else on the list was wrong with my car. My repairs were $600 instead of $6000. My car is running great. I am posting this experience to every review website that I can find. I hope I can help other women from getting robbed at your business. More
The first time I took my car to Lokey Volkswagen for service, I brought my car home and it leaked oil all over my garage. Strike one! I brought the car back so they could correct the problem. They said service, I brought my car home and it leaked oil all over my garage. Strike one! I brought the car back so they could correct the problem. They said it would take 45 minutes, but instead I waited for 4 hours. Strike two! The third time I took my car for an oil change, I picked it up and noticed a huge dent in the driver side door. Someone in their service department dented the car and never brought it to my attention. Luckily I saw the dent before taking the car home. Strike three! This service department is the worst I've seen, and I will never go back. I'd rather drive 40 minutes to the next closest Volkswagen dealership for my service. More
I had a Phaeton which was serviced at Lokey VW for the past two years. Service was always done as scheduled/promised, ride back/forth to the dealer to make it easy. Dale was excellent at finding a service past two years. Service was always done as scheduled/promised, ride back/forth to the dealer to make it easy. Dale was excellent at finding a service solution that would solve the problem without busting my budget. Car always washed and cleaned when i picked it up. I am used to a high level of service from BMW and MBZdealers, and Lokey VW did an excellent job as well. More
