I preordered the truck on the ford website, emailed it to the salesman and they put the order in for me. 5 months later, the truck arrives, I check it out and its great, except a lot of the features I order the salesman and they put the order in for me. 5 months later, the truck arrives, I check it out and its great, except a lot of the features I ordered were missing from the car, like auto/start stop, rock guards, additional lights, etc. Not the worst, but annoying none the less, also the salesman seemed to not have any clue about why they were missing or if anything could and just brushed over them. I begrudgingly moved on and we began to talk final price. There was a $1700 "Protection Package" charge on the truck for them adding stickers to the outside of the truck with serial numbers, supposedly this will help against theft in case someone steals your car door. Do they put these stickers on any important parts like a catalytic converter? No. Can you just peel these stickers off so the part can't be tracked? Yes, you can. I told them I didn't want this, and they said it was required. So then I asked at what point when they notified me that this "feature" would be added to the truck. I googled their website, there was no information on it, and neither ford or them ever notified me. I said I was fairly certain that is illegal to add without my knowledge. He said he'd talk to the manager, and when he came they lowered to only a $300 charge because something had painted on the car. So overall I ended up mostly happy, and besides the shady up charges that I got removed, this car salesman was fairly enjoyable and no where near as annoying or pushy as the other car dealerships. Called on a lark concerning a new Ford Maverick and told they had two so I set an appointment for one hour later. When I arrived I was greeted and introduced to Robert Haro. I was shopping around for a bit and saw they had a car I was interested in. Mike helped me, and not once did I feel pressured into buying or signing anything.
