Lying Salesmen I was in the market for a used car recently. I found an add online for a used BMW 3 series 2011 with low mileage for a great deal at Lithia VW Reno. I was in the market for a used car recently. I found an add online for a used BMW 3 series 2011 with low mileage for a great deal at Lithia VW Reno. Everything about the car seemed great except for a check engine light. The salesman had an excuse, "We changed the oil but don't have the technology to change the light." Skeptical, we had an independent mechanic look at there car and not only was there an E-Vape leak, the service department had put the incorrect coolant in the car. There were multiple signs that the car had been in an unreported accident (different paint colors, new headlights, etc.). When we returned with this information, the salesman instantly stopped trying to sell us the car, he has been found out and he knew it. Additionally, we believe the car fax was fraudulent as it was printed in black and white, had an incorrect vin number, and the salesman did not print it in front of us. Treating your customers as if they were stupid is never appreciated, especially when your mechanics don't even know how to care for cars. More

Wen I dropped my car off in the "early bird" slot at 630 am, there was an employee smoking outside and I had to walk through a cloud of smoke. That same day, when I had to pick up my car, three salesmen were all right outside smoking. I don't think I should have to breath in second hand smoke when I am entering or leaving a business. Smoking is horrible and should be moved away from customers.. I also had a missing rubber piece from under my hood (this is the piece that holds the hood up and in correct alignment when shut). I will be going back this week to see how they handle this problem. I called Andy on the Saturday following my appointment. I hope to get the piece replaced. More

I bought a 2014 Jetta Sportwagen TDI in September 2013 at this dealership, and in the end I got EXACTLY what I had originally configured on the VW website, even though there seemed to be a slim chance of fin this dealership, and in the end I got EXACTLY what I had originally configured on the VW website, even though there seemed to be a slim chance of finding a 6speed TDI with a sunroof. Steve was instrumental through the process, with multiple test drives (DSP or manual), and actually locating a car that I wanted. Because the delivery happened over a holiday weekend, the car couldn't get properly detailed when I picked it up, so he offered to get it from my work a few days later and get it done. I feel like I got real good service throughout. Overall, the whole process was a lot less traumatic than the usual car buying nonsense, no BS, just working through the options, and although I ended up paying list price (being a lousy negotiator), I am ecstatic about my new ride, my very first brand new car, after many used cars, many of them VWs. Through some fluke I even got a car with the exact color I wanted, I would have settled for another color to get the options I wanted, but it all worked out. And the car is a joy to drive, I hope it'll last as long (or much longer) as my last ride, a Golf GTI, 16 years and 225K miles. More
I purchased a 2014 VW Jetta 11/2013. When my wife and I first arrived on the lot we both where trying to dodge the Salesmen as we where only there to look and did not want to be hassled. Sure enough we where spotted by Guy Horton who approached us with a very Friendly attitude and was very easy to BS with about the Vehicles on the lot providing information getting us excited about the possibility of a new purchase in doing so not trying to push a sell any car. We did not purchase that day although returned two days later asked directly for guy not even knowing he was a salesman, only new he worked in the internet dept. Because he seemed Friendly and easy to talk to and ended up executing the deal very quickly driving home my new ride that day. Thanks Guy More
After my visit to this horrible dealership on 04/22/2013 I've decided that these fools are the absolute worst of the worst! Stay away fro here. I bought two used vehicles from these idiots within a week, now four months later they have both broken down (one out of state) and they deny any accountability! Total Dishonesty! The shop in California states that Lithia Volkswagon of Reno had replaced the power steering unit prior to selling it to me, but forgot to refill the fluid. IDIOTS! Now the power steering pump has burned up and I am out of pocket. What a bunch of dirtbags! Go to Sacramento to buy your cars, they are cheaper there! After getting screwed over by these tools I did some investigating and found out that Volkswagon will probably be pulling out of this Reno dealership to to the ineptitude of the staff and management! That makes perfect sense to me, good riddance! I looked up this so called dealership on the BBB website-THEY SCORED AN "F"! That should say it all folks! More
