I had decided to purchase my car that had come to the end of its lease term but originaly thought that i needed to go through a credit union directly to get a better interest rate. I was running into issues of its lease term but originaly thought that i needed to go through a credit union directly to get a better interest rate. I was running into issues getting paperwork that i needed from Volkswagon Credit because they are not answering either phone numbers they provide nor the emails I had sent. I finaly decided to call Lithia Volkswagon of Reno for advice and Nabil Shaman and John St. Clair II ended up helping me a TON! They informed me that they could actualy do it all for me through the Credit Union that I had found offering the 1.99% interest and no payments for 90 days! Matthew Ellison, thier finance guy, also did a great job! He made the paperwork proccess very enjoyable. Thank you a ton guys, we very much appreciate it. More

My family and I have been coming to this dealership for years and my most recent experience purchasing a new Tiguan is a testament to why we will continue to come here. I was helped by Preston and he truly years and my most recent experience purchasing a new Tiguan is a testament to why we will continue to come here. I was helped by Preston and he truly went above and beyond more than I could have ever hoped for to make our purchase possible. He made the purchasing experience extremely easy and convenient, and more than that, he and the finance team really made me feel like my business was valued. This whole experience just reaffirmed why I continue to do business with Reno Lithia VW year after year and why I will continue to tell everyone I know what an amazing dealership this is. Your team is truly the best of the best. Thank you again for everything! More
Without a doubt, the most frustrating attempt at buying a car I have ever had in my life. I would highly recommend looking at any other dealership in Reno before checking out the inventory at Lithia Volkswag car I have ever had in my life. I would highly recommend looking at any other dealership in Reno before checking out the inventory at Lithia Volkswagen of Reno. Everything seemed to be going great as I spoke with a sales person over the phone and had a wonderful test driving experience, but when I wanted to move forward with a purchase it was made difficult from the very first moment. After my less than stellar experience with one of their sales managers, I decided to secure my own financing through a credit union and re-entered negotiations with the sales person a few days later. Getting the smallest discount was a true challenge, but the car was a good price for the market and I ultimately decided to move forward with the purchase (tip: if you wind up in this situation, do continue to ask questions and check the math constantly because their numbers were questionable at best). This is where everything got unnecessarily difficult - they refused to accept outside financing without running a hard inquiry on my credit, even going so far as to try and trick me by sending me a link to apply online for financing and saying things like "one of the forms we need you to fill out looks similar to a credit check" and "since you have financing through a credit union, we have a system called, CUDL, that will help streamline the process." Lies. Both of those options would have been used to run my credit for financing, which I already had. Finally, I was told they had to run my credit because, "It's policy, so we know who we're working with." Well a simple google search shows that this is not standard for dealerships, it's not required as part of the Patriot Act and entirely unnecessary according to the National Automobile Dealers Association and the National Independent Automobile Dealers Association. Since I'm financially obligated to the credit union funding my loan and not the dealership, I'm still beyond confused as to why this is required and has resulted in them not selling a car that they've had sitting on their lot for over 75 days now. Additionally, after wasting several days of my time, they made sure to let me know in the middle of trying to finalize the deal that they would be showing the car to someone else the next day. I asked the sales person and a finance manager to hold the car for me, which they both agreed to, only for the sales person to call me right back and ask for money from me in order to hold the car. At this point, I was already completely turned off by their "policy" and seemingly shady dealings that I declined. Definitely proceed with caution if the car you want unfortunately winds up being at Lithia Volkswagen of Reno! More

I take my GM product to the VW Lithia dealer because I like their service department far better than their Jeep counterpart where I bought my used vehicle. The VW people answer their phones promptly, and like their service department far better than their Jeep counterpart where I bought my used vehicle. The VW people answer their phones promptly, and they service my vehicle promptly even though it is of another make. Thanks VW for your service. More
