Wow! What a horrible experience. My daughter's 2010 VW Jetta was experiencing random intermittent stalling. She bought the car from a friend for $1,500 an What a horrible experience. My daughter's 2010 VW Jetta was experiencing random intermittent stalling. She bought the car from a friend for $1,500 and it was not in the best condition, but it was her first car. She couldn't afford much better. She takes care of disabled people and has a kind heart, but the service tech and service manager took advantage of that. She had spent several hundred dollars at two local auto shops diagnosing the problem. The final diagnosis they gave was that they had traced it back to the ECM and it needed a new computer. They said only a dealership could replace the computer and program it. The service tech told us they would not accept any other shop’s diagnosis so they charged us $200 to tell us it would cost over $5,000 to fix it without any kind of diagnosis or repair itemization. They obviously didn’t want to work on it. She called and was told that she could pick it up if she wasn’t going to have it fixed there. She asked what time they close, and the tech said 6pm. She called me and asked if I could take her to get it. The dealership is an hour from where we live. I told her I would leave work early and we could get there around 5:30. The service tech called her back on our drive there and left her a message that they closed at 5:30. We didn’t get the message until we got there at 5:35 and the service staff had all gone home. I checked the internet, and two different places said the service bay was open until 6pm but their website said 5:30. Apparently it had changed. While trying to get someone to release the vehicle to us and pay the $200 the sales manager only wanted to sell us a new car, over and over and over, but said he couldn’t help us with the car in service (I could see the keys hanging on the rack easily accessible to anyone). We had to drive home and return the next day to get the car. We got it back and I found a company online that fixes/replaces auto computers. I shipped them the computer and they cloned it for $550. It has been running fine for months with no issues. Why would anybody want to buy a car or service their car from a place that takes advantage of people like this. I was never offered anything, not even an apology, for the miscommunication and will never do business with them again. More
I recently bought a car from this dealership for my wife, and during our test drive, the entire infotainment system wouldn't work. Touch screen, buttons on the side, volume knob, all of it wouldn't work. The and during our test drive, the entire infotainment system wouldn't work. Touch screen, buttons on the side, volume knob, all of it wouldn't work. The sales rep, Guy, ensured me he wouldn't let us but a car that the infotainment system wouldn't work. He took the car to the mechanics department and all they did was do a factory reset, and guy told us if the issues show up again to let him know and he'll get it fixed. Not even a full month later, the issues show up again, but worse now. The skip buttons on the steering wheel aren't working. I contact guy, let him know, and he has me bring the car in to have it looked at. After working a 10 hour shift in minden, I get off work and drive all the way up to the dealership in reno. When I arrive, a sales rep (not guy) comes out to take a look, and he sees that the top right side of the infotainment screen won't work. He goes to the mechanic department and after about 5 minutes he comes back out and says they won't even do a diagnosis because I didn't take the warranty. I corrected him, because I was told the dealership wouldn't offer me a warranty because the car had about 4,000 miles over the warranty policy. It's bot me declining a warranty, I was outright denied a warranty from the dealership. Now that's a weird thing too, because about 2 years prior to buying this car, I had bought a car of the same exact year and model from this dealership, with more mileage than the car we recently bought and denied a warranty on. This sales rep then told me that I could go to a car audio store and get an aftermarket system installed for about $300 or so. And if my credit is good enough, in a couple years I can just come trade in the car for something newer. Yes I could just go get an aftermarket system installed, and yes my credit is perfectly fine and I could trade in in a couple years, buts that's not the point. I bought a car, was told by Guy the sales rep they would make sure the infotainment system would be fixed (which he knew fully was malfunctioning before we bought it) and was completely lied to. The mechanic doesn't want to spend money on fixing the infotainment system? How much money did they make on this sale, not even including the fact that this is the second car I've gotten from thus dealership? The mechanics really canyon handle forking out a grand or so to fix this? I know that it's a dealership and I know that all dealerships are full of scoundrels, but this one left such a sour taste in my mouth that we're going to avoid all vw products for the rest of our lives, even from 3rd party sellers. Remember, make a customer happy and they'll go tell 10 people. xxxx off a customer and they'll go tell 30 people. More

This is an amazing auto dealership with an outstanding professional group of individuals working to make the best vehicle sales deal possible to work for the buyer. I have been shopping hard for a new veh professional group of individuals working to make the best vehicle sales deal possible to work for the buyer. I have been shopping hard for a new vehicle with a particular budget in mind of 40K or less and a time restraint of not more than two weeks. I was already one week into that time frame when I went in to see my sales representative Andre Ribeiro at Lithia Volkswagen Reno. I don’t have the best of credit… in fact it is only rated fair. Andre and his work teammate Preston Davidson who works in the financial department were able to do for me what no other dealership had been able to do for me up until that point. Andre found out exactly what vehicles I wanted to purchase. He showed me several vehicles he had on his lot from the huge inventory at his dealership. He also was mindful enough to provide a few different comparable vehicles that fit my shopping parameters that I was unaware of. From there Andre was able to work his magic along with Preston to crunch numbers and tailor the very best deal possible for me. They were able to do this for me within a few hours and they more importantly were able to do so for the vehicle that I wanted the most when I first walked in the dealership a GMC Yukon Denali. Not only that but they got me into a newer model 2019 with lower miles for less money and a lower payment with many extra bonus perks included. I am extremely satisfied with the professional sales and customer service experience which Andre has of 25 years. He is definitely top notch. Thank you Andre and thank you Preston. More
