Was not told when I arrived that the oil change person did not show up. The gentleman that checked me in should have informed me. He was also working on his computer as I stood at the counter waiting for service, very un-professional. I will say the service manager was good to work with and tried to make things right. More
2 hour wait with appointment This is the rating deserved. I had made an appointment and showed up on time only to be informed that it would be a two hour wait due to walk-in custo This is the rating deserved. I had made an appointment and showed up on time only to be informed that it would be a two hour wait due to walk-in customers. Service tech was apologetic but what's the point in making an appointment if your service center does not honor it. More

The push button ignition has to be pressed repeatedly to start the car. The power windows were not always responding to the buttons. We took the car in on Tuesday August 14 , dropped it off and explained the problems. I let them know I had purchased the extended warranty and it was in the glove box. Hearing nothing from the service department I called on Friday the 17th. I called in 7 times before I actually got to talk to someone in service. I was told they were working on it and someone would call me to let me know what they found. No one called back. I called twice on Saturday the 18th before service answered. I was told they were waiting to hear back from the warranty company and since it was Saturday they would not have an answer for me until Monday. Monday- No call back so In the afternoon i called them twice before talking to service. I was told the service advisor was on the phone with the warranty company and would call me shortly. I heard nothing so on THURSDAY the 23rd I called twice before I got to talk to service. He had to go check on the car. He came back on the phone and said it was done and I could come pick it up. I asked several questions about what was wrong, what they found, was it covered under warranty. Each time he had to go talk to someone else to get an answer but never explained what was wrong. I asked how much do I owe. He had to go check and came back with $172 and change. I again asked what was covered under warranty because that seemed more than what I thought the deductible was. He came back with some double talk about the change was about what the deductible would be. We went to pick up the car and I questioned the amount being higher than what I thought the deductible was. Again I got the double talk about the change being about what the deductible would be? I asked to see the service manager. Heath came out to find out what I wanted. He was the one I talked to when I dropped the car off. He looked at the paperwork and started reading what they found wrong. He asked me if I had a copy of their findings? I told him that I did not. No one had called me about the car I called to find out what was going on. He again listed what was wrong but didn’t give me a copy. And started giving me what it would be to fix each item. One of the things wrong was the ignition switch. I said that is one of the things I bought it in for and it didn’t get fixed? He said No. I asked if any of it was covered under warranty? He said I don’t see anything written down about the warranty. At this point he went out to talk with the service technician. When he returned he said no one called about the warranty. He went out and got the paperwork out of the glove box. In looking at the warranty I saw the deductible was $25. Heath called the warranty company right away and asked about the ignition switch. They said it was covered. He said he would have to call them back with the list of what needed to be fixed. Heath told me there would be no charge today, they would get with the warranty company and set a time to get the car repaired, gave me the keys and sent me on my way. At this point they had the car for a week and a half and nothing was fixed. That was Thursday- on Monday the 27th in the afternoon I had not heard anything so I again called the service department twice before talking to someone. I asked for Heath. He didn’t remember our conversation. After refreshing his memory he said he had turned it over to Ron to handle and that he was waiting to hear back from the warranty company. If I had not heard from him by 1 PM on Tuesday I should call and find out what is going on. Tuesday the 28th. No Call from Ron. About 3:00 pm I once more called service and asked for Ron.this time. I got his voicemail. I left a message, who I was, what the car is and asked what he found out from the warranty company along with my phone number. No call back before the service department closed for the day. I am writing this on the evening of the 28th. More

Radio security lock (they wouldn't believe me for 2 years until a fix came out), starter switch-not always able to turn car on or off. After asking about it twice ("make sure your foot is on the brake" duh!) they finally experienced it and ordered a part. No one called for a week. I finally called and, yes, the part is in. Got it scheduled and dropped off. Picked up that afternoon. When I started it the next morning, the oil light came on. I checked the oil and it was below the fill mark. Called dealer to ask about what to do. (Okay to drive, fill it myself, etc.) Called twice and each time got into telephone xxxx. Finally left a message with the receptionist. No call back. Called the next day and got in same telephone circle. Finally got back to the receptionist who asked if I'd like to leave a message!! Said I did yesterday. Couldn't find it at first then said she would make sure they saw it. Really angry by now. Finally called my salesperson who called me back and said to bring it in. Pulled in to service garage and young man asked me how he could help. I explained about the oil light. Service advisor came out and I explained the situation. He told the young man he could check the oil, got a rag, pulled the dip stick and looked at it. He looked at the service advisor. I said "Shouldn't he clean the stick" and put it back in to see the resting level?" Advisor directed him to do so while telling me VW's do often run a quart low. I told him the car was midway in mileage and time until the next oil change which seemed strange to me it would run low now. I told him they had checked my washer fluid when the car was in a few days ago but not the oil? He said if it's not involved in the service visit, they don't. Maybe they should. And don't get me started on the brakes. They squeak continually like it needs new brakes. Always been told for the last 2 1/2 years that there is moisture and they squeak's. Doesn't matter if it is dry as a bone out or snowy. They did look at the brakes at my request on the last visit (starter) and service advisor said they did show some wear but were okay. "Next time might get a better quality of brake." When I told him they were original and this was a leased car, he had no response. Not really happy with this dealership or the car. More

Worst customer service The 1 star is by default since there is no way to mark none. 6 months ago I waited in their customer area for 3 1/2 hours for an oil change, first The 1 star is by default since there is no way to mark none. 6 months ago I waited in their customer area for 3 1/2 hours for an oil change, first car in line, that seem like a long time I didn't say anything and brushed it off as they were having a bad day Few days a go it was time for another oil change so this time I asked a friend to pick me up so I wouldn't sit there waiting. Well their previously assumed bad day got worse. ..after 3 hours I called them to know if my car was ready. .they couldn't tell me on the phone that someone would call me within 15 minutes to answer my question. I finally gave up after 45 minutes of not having anyone call me. Had a ride to drive me back..my car was ready over 2 hours ago. The service rep said he left me a message...of course after giving them my phone number they manage to call a number I never had. To add the final touch...they misplaced my keys, they finally found them. The entire process from dropping my vehicle (again first car in for service) 4 1/2 hour I concluded that's how to do business....really!?!? They don't give a sh*t about their customers I'll never buy a car from them again and wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy More
Light still on I’m quite confused...left my car for over four hours yesterday to get an oil change and address a light on in my car. The individual who checked me in I’m quite confused...left my car for over four hours yesterday to get an oil change and address a light on in my car. The individual who checked me in said they would call within the hour to keep me posted on what they found. Never called, picked up my car last night and light still on. Gal out front said she would have the service manager call me back this morning. Still hadn’t called. More

The ease of making an appointment, and their ability to keep I would like to offer my praise to the service personnel at Lithia VW in Johnston. The ease of making an appointment, and their ability to keep me informed about the progress and status of the work being performed helped me keep to my schedule of things that I was in DsM area to get completed, as I am from outside the metro area. Also, the technician, Jonny Rankin, is well qualified, thorough and highly recommended. More
