When we did finally get a real person, we were told that no appointment was needed for our 10.000 mile service and that we could bring it in Saturday anytime before 1:45 PM. WRONG! Dealer was completely swamped on Saturday and I feel that they did a rush job on all vehicles that day to deal with the volume. More
Lacking coordination, indifferent and unprofessional We brought in a 2010 VW CC for 2 recalls we came across recently. This was the second time this vehicle was brought in for a manufacturers recall. We were not informed of the Fuel Pump Module and Airbag recall originally few months ago when it was brought in for a failed airbag clockspring issue. Dropped the vehicle off for a scheduled appointment on Tuesday September 4th, 2018, was informed at that time by a service advisor the work will be completed by later that day or the next day latest and all parts were available and ordered since this was schedule 10 days prior to the appointment. No contact was made by the service department to inform repairs were completed for 3 days. We contacted the service department and provided our information to check on the status of the repairs, only to be put on a short hold while the service advisor wanted to look into the status of the vehicle. This lasted over 12 minutes. Hung up and called again, a different service advisor answered. Provided them our information again, this advisor apologized for the other advisor and pulled up our information. He could not understand why no one had contacted us earlier or been able to answer something as simple as if the vehicle was ready. The vehicle was ready, he was not sure when the recall work was completed or why we were not contacted. As we arrived to pick up the vehicle 10 minutes after, he got our paperwork and pulled up our vehicle. As I got in I noticed the Tire Pressure Monitor Sensor light was on, indicating the Tire Pressure was too low. I looked through the inspection sheet the technician had checked through with all 4 tires being 36 psi and OK. At this point I just wanted to get out of there and check the pressure myself. Pressure was way off on each tire, variably ranging from 24.5 psi - 28 psi all around. The manufactures door sticker recommends 30 psi all around front and rear. These were 2 brand new tires up front which have not had any issues in the past 4,000 miles with air pressure or a week after picking it up. As a dealer representing the manufacturer you would think the service department would try to get these issues taken care of initially and not rely on the customer to find out on their own and schedule it. From the technicians that ignore basics and check OK 36 psi and not look at the manufacturers recommended pressures to the service advisors that are totally clueless to when a vehicle is ready to be picked up or contacting clients on time, or forget they put them on hold, to skipping crucial details like active recalls on customer vehicles, this place is a dysfunctional mess. Needs major improvement. More

Terrible I took my Toureg in for a recall, oil change and battery change on my fobs. Car was returned to us in 3 hours.. Started car a the check engine li I took my Toureg in for a recall, oil change and battery change on my fobs. Car was returned to us in 3 hours.. Started car a the check engine light came on. Tried fobs on door locks..did not work..they had to reprogram them Got car back in 1.5 hours. Drove back home (50 miles) and the next day I checked the service screen in car..I checked the oil and it was way over max..service screen said to remove some oil. I have to now drive back to your shop.(50miles) to remove oil.. I wonder if you did the recall correctly. More
Oil change I had again to wait 2 hours for a oil change and changing out the light bulb ...this time it took only a little over 1 hour for oil change the other f I had again to wait 2 hours for a oil change and changing out the light bulb ...this time it took only a little over 1 hour for oil change the other for the running light bulb ...this is enough I can not do this all the time ...the earliest it has been for changing oil 1.5 hours ....do not buy a volkswagen. ..I traded mine for a chevy ...really terrible place More
Warranty Service/VW Recall Service I have purchased 3 vehicles from Lithia VW Des Moines and Service has not always been "perfect." However the last 2 visits on our new VW Touareg has I have purchased 3 vehicles from Lithia VW Des Moines and Service has not always been "perfect." However the last 2 visits on our new VW Touareg has been outstanding. Joe in service who checked me in as well as the service manager were great, got the work done and kept me informed while I was there. Also, Jeff in the Detail shop cleaned up some issues that weren't taken care of at delivery and the car is looking great again. Keep up the good work! More

Awful. Terrible service Called the service department about 10 times over a 4 day span, only had one answered and then was disconnected. People at service counter were rude and did not seem to care at all. I had to actually go to the dealership to set up appointment. Told me week and a half in advance they would have loaner lined up for me in the morning of, instead they said they didn’t have any on site and I had to wait over an hour for a shuttle, therefore very late for work. Heard a guy before me say his oil plug was not closed all the way and his oil light came on less then 15 miles from dealership and the service manager did not seem to care. More
Key shaft problem The repair took 3 weeks. Not once did the service dept call me. I called after 1 week and was told parts were ordered but no estimate was given. I The repair took 3 weeks. Ron was courteous and finally explained the repair should be no charge and that I could have gotten a loaner car. I just wish the communication could have been better. I do appreciate the repair being done for free. More
Worst ever! Advisor informed her that her car was three months out of warranty. Very frustrating wasted over one hour of her time could’ve been devoted to school work. No opology or anything.....will never be back again. More
