Air-conditioner pump replacement. I took my certified preowned 2014 Volkswagen Passat TDI into Volkswagen of Des Moines to have the air compressor pump replaced because it had malfunct I took my certified preowned 2014 Volkswagen Passat TDI into Volkswagen of Des Moines to have the air compressor pump replaced because it had malfunctioned and stopped working. Once the work was completed and the air compressor pump was replaced the technicians ran diagnostics to make sure the pump worked properly. Although the pump was working properly the technicians noticed the air-conditioning condenser had a slight leak. Instead of taking the easy way out and saying they had completed the work that was required the technicians did the right thing by completely disassembling the air conditioning assembly for a second time so that they could replace the leaking condenser. By doing what was right instead of what was easy clearly sets Volkswagen of Des Moines apart from other automotive dealers. More

lack of communication "backup light stays on" and asked for oil change for convenience. Received latter, but was charged 125 for "diagnostics" - this was an electric probl "backup light stays on" and asked for oil change for convenience. Received latter, but was charged 125 for "diagnostics" - this was an electric problem - staying on, in contrast to staying off. so was not a wiring or power problem but the switch. that simple analysis did not in my view require the 125 computer analysis to point to the obvious. the part needed (switch) had to be ordered, so I was charged for all including the test on Wed, and told the part would be in on Friday. I waited for a call on thursday; none came, sent my second email to service - this was wasn't answered either. So called Friday afternoon at 2, Jason said he would check with parts and call me. he did not. It is now Saturday and still no call or response to my email. I will call on Monday again. Mr. Koji asked if he could text me to communicate and I said yes, but nothing thereafter....I went to get it myself, since it is a manual, and can't be driven by selected staff, and was not told whether it had been sanitized. So I did that myself as well. More
