I have been seriously looking to purchase a Tiguan for the past year and since I gifted my CX5 to my daughter, I decided to stop by the dealership to take a test drive. I looked for salesperson AJ as he h the past year and since I gifted my CX5 to my daughter, I decided to stop by the dealership to take a test drive. I looked for salesperson AJ as he had printed out Tiguan specs for me back in March. Fortunately he was there and accompanied me on the test drive. AJ went through all of the options with me and the ride was great. After returning AJ asked me if I was ready to purchase and I said yes and he immediately disclosed the premium the dealership added to the MSRP. I was shocked and nearly walked as there was no indication of this one the dealership's website. AJ explained the reasoning and after an insightful discussion, I understood this was a common practice among all types of dealerships and the supply chain issue was a contibuting factor, I understood as this issue is prevalent due to the pandemic. After some negotiating, we agreed upon a sale price but all of the Tiguans in the class that I was interested in had been sold. There were three that were on order that would arrive in the near future, and one of them was in the color and style that I wanted so the deal was consumated. AJ was great to work with, patient, knowledgeable and professional although I was not the easiest customer to work with. He also arranged the financing and the rate I got was great, but the term was 54 months. I met with the Finance Manager, Michaela was outstanding. She worked the deal to 36 months and the $1100 monthly payment I wanted, and I gave her the adjusted downpayment and the financing was complete. Michaela was a joy to work, very pleasant, accommodating and professional. When I left the dealership, we were all happy! More
The reflection has nothing to do with the vehicle. The sales guy Marco was new. He started “appraising” the vehicle I was purchasing instead of the vehicle I was trading in. I had to correct him. I told him before I even test drove the vehicle I had other offers for my trade, they came in with an offer $4,500 below what I already had. After re-evaluating they miraculously came up on their offer. I was sent off without signing any paperwork even after asking about paperwork. After driving 20 minutes down the road I had to go back to the dealership. It took my calling for 3 days straight to find out when my payoff was going to be sent to my bank for the trade in. Then they have the audacity to ask why I hadn’t sent my trade title in yet. Because it took 3 weeks for them to send the payoff to my bank. I would never buy from them again. I haven’t received the title for the vehicle I purchased now 28 days ago, meaning I will be charged a late fee from the DMV which I am very confident this dealership will not reimburse me for. You can never get anyone to answer their phone and it takes days to get a call back, if you’re lucky. Never again More
