I had my Tacoma in for service today. Lithia's shop manual calls for 1.2 hours labor to change a set of spark plugs. Really? Is that the shop manual estimate for a confused mechanic? Sure enough, in less than a half hour my truck was parked where it couldn't readily be seen from the waiting room. After another 20 minutes I went to the service counter to see what was going on. Oops. It seems they were in no hurry to tell me the truck had been off the rack for quite a while already. Yet, I was charged for 1.2 hours labor to get a set of spark plugs that were installed in less than 30 minutes. Un-fricking-believable. My local Ford dealer gives an estimate based on the shop manual, but then only charges the customer for actual labor time. Maybe the incompetent Lithia thieves should consider trying honesty for a change. More

Holy smokes. Who are they paying for the 5 star reviews. Service department left metal filings on brakes after servicing discs and pads. they refused to fix the problem and instead tried to tell me that new Service department left metal filings on brakes after servicing discs and pads. they refused to fix the problem and instead tried to tell me that new disks and pads were needed. (Less than 2000 miles after a complete brake service on a newer car.) Following this, the service department charged over $100 to hook up a code reader for 2 minutes - and as a final blow gave a dishonest diagnosis. I paid to have my brakes redone elsewhere,where they showed me the sloppy workmanship from Lithia Toyota, and paid $60 elsewhere to have my code problems repaired. Lithia dealer wanted to charge over $800 for the same work. Don't go here. They are rated a "D" by the BBB. Keep in mind that the nice person selling you services in the service department works on commission. I am very embarrassed to admit that I returned to the dealer after the first problem, but I won't make this mistake again - and I hope this review will prevent someone else from making the same mistake. I had an amazing "On-Line" buying experience with Ben and Kathryn in Lithia's internet sales department. Going to the dentist and hassling with buying a car are two of the consumer experiences with Ben and Kathryn in Lithia's internet sales department. Going to the dentist and hassling with buying a car are two of the consumer experiences I avoid the most. However, my experience at Lithia was top notch and has changed my view on car buying. The On-Line/Interent process was extremely efficient and involved NO hassel. I shopped in advance online and the internet sales department even had all of the financing worked out ahead of my visit to the dealership. Online is the only way I will shop for a car again! I've bought many new cars in the last 20 years, all Toyotas, but I've never had a sales person who was this friendly and knowledgable. He really knows his stuff and was patient with answering all of my questions. It was obvious that he loves what he does and is truly excited about the product he is selling. I was impressed by Denny in many ways but the thing that impressed me the most was the fact that he was willing to stand out in the 100 degree heat to sell me a car. Denny Kane will be the guy I recommend to all my friends. Thanks Denny for a great car buying experience!!! More
