Understandable mistakes handled horribly by management I recently bought a brand new Prius Prime from here. First, the salesperson inadvertently represented the vehicle as having features that were import I recently bought a brand new Prius Prime from here. First, the salesperson inadvertently represented the vehicle as having features that were important to me when it did not. It was only after all the paperwork was signed that I got home and found out about the error. He's a stand-up guy and owned the error, but the dealership didn't want to do much to make it right. They basically offered me an "applique'" (yeah, French for "sticker") as compensation. Finally, after complaining to Toyota corporate, they made it right with an oil change plan. Then my navigation system had an issue and their only solution was to offer to sell me a new SD card for almost $1100. They said it wouldn't be covered under warranty because "it worked fine when you left" (Isn't that how warranty is supposed to work?!?) The service advisor suggested I call Toyota corporate to see what they could do for me. They suggested I should speak with the service manager, because it doesn't look like the dealership understands the issue at hand. After four days of leaving messages for the service manager, and Toyota corporate doing everything they could to try to get the service manager to call me, I gave up. Grants Pass Toyota took the time to talk to me and understand the issue and is helping me. It's just so sad and unfortunate that my local Toyota dealership has no interest in maintaining a good relationship with their customers. This is the first time in my life that I've owned a new car and now I have a bad taste in my mouth from the buying experience. More
