We have been working with Lithia Toyota for years now and have never had anything but the best service. When it was time to purchase a new car we knew we wanted a RAV4. TJ Hintz was friendly, knowledgeable and attentive from the beginning and continues to be there for questions we have. We are SO PLEASED with our new car and everyone at Lithia that helped in the process. We left there confident that our relationship didn’t end when we drove off the lot. I would gladly recommend Lithia Toyota and especially TJ Hintz to anyone in the market for a car! More
Update: Ressler in Bozeman offered me $5,000 more for my trade in and I got a better truck for $1500 less then the one i was looking at here. Its worth the drive to be treated right. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME trade in and I got a better truck for $1500 less then the one i was looking at here. Its worth the drive to be treated right. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME IF TRADING IN!!! This dealership is in no way fair on trade in values! They claim to be on par with KBB and fair in their dealings, but in my experience that is the farthest thing from the truth. They offered me over $5,000 less then what my trade in value is on KBB and $4,000 less then other dealerships. It was a complete waste of time. Time is precious so if you value yours do not spend it here. They also treated me like I was stupid or something and my salesperson, Matt, just contradicted himself and lied to me more then once. My mother also went in a few years ago and got the same treatment. They made her feel stupid and treated her like she couldn't afford a new vehicle when she was planning to purchase a new highlander with cash. She ended up going to Bozman to get the same car there so she didn't have to deal with this dealership. If your a woman or someone who is trading in your car or truck... I would not go here. You will leave feeling insulted and pissed off or you will leave being taken advantage of if your not savvy. More
Lithia Toyota is great! Just took in my new Lexus RC350 for a regular service appointment with Josh and it was so easy, the team only took 2-3 hrs to complete the service. G Just took in my new Lexus RC350 for a regular service appointment with Josh and it was so easy, the team only took 2-3 hrs to complete the service. Great communication! This is the 2nd car I've entrusted to the care of Lithia since moving here 3 yrs ago. I tried a few other shops but was having a hard time finding someone who could do competent work on my 2000 Mitsubishi Eclipse GT(original owner) & was beginning to give up hope. In desperation I reached out to Lithia & and made an appointment with Joey in the service department. The welcoming atmosphere of the service dept. was a refreshing change from what I had been running into. Joey and Ron have taken great care of my car, both of them were familiar with my vehicle which made me feel great and Ron's work on the car has been top notch. Redid the suspension, replaced Fuel pump, starter, struts, shocks & power windows. Joey is also excellent at communicating/coordinating the repairs necessary, no surprises!! I definitely recommend Lithia to my friends when they ask. More
I am sad and disappointed to write this review. I recently purchased a used car from Lithia Toyota of Billings. I first walked into the dealership and stood around for about 10 minutes before someone asked if I needed help. I said yes and they went to "get someone to help you" so I waited an additional 5 minutes more (maybe I didn't look like a serious enough of a customer?). I was introduced to Shane Reid. Shane was very earnest and kind. We took the car out for a test drive and I said I was interested in buying it. I asked about the tires and was told they must be fairly new as they still had little nubs on them. I also asked about the car battery and was told it passed the Lithia multi point inspection, etc etc. I was asked to come back in and sit down so the deal could be written up. I said I didn't have time for that, said what my offer was and was on my way (it was a cash offer). Long story short - I came back in to pay and pick up the car but had to wait an 90 minutes of back and forth with some mysterious person in some mysterious office who would approve or not approve my cash purchase of a this used car. While waiting for a painful amount of time, we realized the tires probably were not up to snuff and had to negotiate a little more. The car was also supposed to be washed and detailed. I took the car to a local tire store and was told the tires were shot, not only that, they are an odd size so more expensive than your typical tire (Lithia was only willing to pay for 2 new tires (on an all wheel drive car) and only paid a generic price (not the price that the special sized tires would actually cost). I did communicate with Lithia but was told I got a good deal and there was nothing else to be done. The tire store told me I was lucky to get the tires replaced when I did. Lithia sent me out on tires that were not safe. The unsafe tires are the most critical but it bares noting the car was not detailed as promised, there were leaves all over in the boot and a sticky substance in the cup holder and a huge chip in the window that was hidden by the wiper blades (which were also shot and needed replaced - you guess it they are unique and had to also be special ordered) Clearly the multi point checklist before a used car can hit the lot is nothing more than a piece of paper - don't trust it. If you purchase a used car here please get a professional to check the battery, tires, windshield, and maybe even the engine. I am especially making this recommendation to women as it seems as though Lithia banks on us not necessarily knowing what to look for. Better yet - go to Merceds Benz and ask for Clay or to Rimrock and ask for Desiree. These two people are 100% legitimate people who will treat you with kindness, respect, and honesty! More
don't expect a clean vehicle when you buy from this dealer. their detail shop is horrible. i purchased the vehicle and had to bring it back for a simple repair. the salesman knew when he was with us on dealer. their detail shop is horrible. i purchased the vehicle and had to bring it back for a simple repair. the salesman knew when he was with us on our test drive of the issue at hand. after we made the deal he took the vehicle to the shop to fix the minor issue but as we drove home it acted up. arriving home i began to notice things inside that were still dirty. called our salesman and he arranged to have it detailed and have said minor issue fixed. Well the issue got fixed but the detail shop apparently doesn't know what a vaccum is or a rag. so, no i am not driving all the way back for them to say it was detailed when i know it won't be done. i have found spilled coffee or chocolate on the backside of the steering wheel which was never cleaned. this poor car was never babied. when we arrived the service department acted like we never had an appointment. our salesman was a nice young man. but i am really disappointed in their detail shop. but never mind i will clean the inside myself. i can do a lot better job than they did. Do not get the warranty for a car here unless it’s a Toyota. They are unable to diagnose what’s wrong with a car with their equipment. I spent 4 weeks taking my car into their service department with Toyota. They are unable to diagnose what’s wrong with a car with their equipment. I spent 4 weeks taking my car into their service department with the check engine light on. I kept getting that their Toyota computers can’t get clear codes on the Chevy I bought from them and paid for the extended warranty on. Then two weeks after my earanty expires they think they know what is wrong. They should not sell warranties on cars if their service department isn’t equipped to handle it. More

On September 4, 2021, I travelled 5 hours to Lithia Toyota in Billings Montana to purchase a 2017 Toyota Camry with approximately 13,500 original miles. I knew the car had curb rash on one of the rims Toyota in Billings Montana to purchase a 2017 Toyota Camry with approximately 13,500 original miles. I knew the car had curb rash on one of the rims as I observed it in the pictures in the Lithia advertisement. The description of the car had no mention of any damage to/on the car. Mind you, I had also sent Lithia a nonrefundable 1k deposit to consider the car sold. Upon arrival at the dealership I noticed an unrepaired chip in the windshield just above the steering wheel in the drivers’ line of view. I was advised they hadn’t noticed it. I asked if they could repair the chip? I was told no that they didn’t have the capability, but I could go to one in town a pay out of my own pocket to have it repaired. I also noticed the other rim on the passenger side had deep gouges on the lip of the rim from a previous driver striking a curb. The driver side rear bumper on the corner had three 12 inch long scratches that had been repaired with touch up paint. At this point in time I still decided to purchase the car. The Carfax was clean. After traveling about 4 hours on the way home my wife and I stopped for a late lunch. As we exited the restaurant I noticed a 2 inch ding in the plastic on the bottom lip of the front spoiler. I missed this at the dealership. But the garage they had the car in was fairly dark and the front end was close to the front wall. It would have been hard to see as the wall was in the way and I would have had to get down on the ground in front of the car to see it. The picture of the car in the ad did not show this damage. All of this I wrote off and accepted I was stuck with the car as is. As was told to me many times during the sale. On Tuesday September 7, I came out of my house in the later in the afternoon. I noticed the trunk lid of the car had roughly 30 small dings in the trunk lid. Which looked like hail damage. The dings are only visible when the light hits them just right. I also checked the roof and there was hail damage there also. Now I’m pissed. I emailed the salesperson and advised of the hail damage. Her response was “I’m so sorry. I try very hard to check vehicles over for customer especially when coming a long distance. I didn’t notice any hail and I’m surprised by the color it is so it had to have been light. I’m so glad you ended up with getting the $1100 off of our dealer fees now and know it’s still a very nice car for the price and certification it came with but truly understand your frustration”. Now with that being said I paid top dollar according to KBB for this car. The ad of the car made it sound mint so you can imagine my disappointment. I’m stuck with the car, so I’ll drive the wheels off it as it’s obvious the dealer will take no steps to make it right. The employee that completed the Toyota Certification checklist must be blind. Can’t wait to get this car on a lift, hopefully there won’t be any more surprises or overlooked issues. With all of this, be very careful buying a used car from this dealership sight unseen without an independent and thorough inspection. If I had purchased this car from Carvana and it showed up in this condition they would have received it back. Sales over ethics. More
