David was professional at all times. It was the first time buying a car on my own and he explained the benefits of owning and leasing and was able to get the car and color I wanted. More
Great experience I walked in and someone asked if I've been helped. I said no, not yet. Then(the one that greeted me)he showed me the way to another sales person. 'Now I walked in and someone asked if I've been helped. I said no, not yet. Then(the one that greeted me)he showed me the way to another sales person. 'Now I tell you what!' That young women had a smile, not forced...but a smile that delivered. She greeted me with a firm handshake and we've got straight to the point. She was by far thee easiest most delightful person to work with. Easy to talk to and she answered every question I threw her way. If she didn't know the answer she'd tell me the truth(questions about car performance and stuff like that) It's nice to see that there are still honest people out there. I didn't expect it to be that fun purchasing a car. "She made the whole process of me getting into dept a lot better." It felt like I've known her for years before. I'll definitely recommend this dealership. They made it all possible for me to drive away with a vehicle that I wanted. Thank you Kiki and Lithia Subaru of Oregon City P.S. The best sales award should go to Kiki Stonebraker More

Lithia had a better selection of vehicles to choose from, so we dropped in and had the best experience shopping for a vehicle. Kiki greeted us with a friendly smile and we immediately felt at ease. She was knowledgable and accommodating as we vacillated between a New Subaru Forrester or Crosstek for our daughter. She was extremely helpful with vehicle details, and made our decision much easier to make. Once we chose the Crosstek, we settled on a price with no hard-pressure sales. What a phenomenal experience it was working with Kiki, her Senior Manager, and Finance. We especially enjoyed working with Kiki who was easygoing, had a great sense of humor, and was a wealth of knowledge and insight! More

Better than most car dealers, but still a car dealer I bought a used 2008 Toyota Sienna AWD van from them on 7-1-2015 at a fair price. Overall, it was a good experience, but... (1) they absolutely refused to budge on price, even though my mechanic's pre-purchase inspection revealed several problems with the vehicle (e.g., bum battery, no spare tire, missing a headrest, steering pulled to the right a bit), and (2) the salesman pressured me repeatedly to sign a "contingency contract" (BEFORE the pre-purchase inspection was done) that would have given the *dealership* the right to either (a) fix problems found by that inspection or (b) cancel the "contingency contract" after the pre-purchase inspection was done -- but would NOT have given *me* the same right to cancel the "contingency contract" no matter what was revealed by the pre-purchase inspection. In other words, that contract protected the dealer nicely, but did not protect the buyer at all. I refused to sign the contract, and the salesman warned me that unless I signed someone else might buy the car before the pre-purchase inspection was done. I said I'd take my chances rather than commit to buying a vehicle before I had it checked out by my mechanic. I urge ALL buyers to do the same. In fairness to the dealer, their asking price was below Blue Book and they eventually agreed to install a brand-new battery after my mechanic found that the car's battery was virtually dead -- but only because I remained firm on that point. The salesman (David Metzler) was friendly, punctual for meetings and seemed competent, but he could not answer several questions about the car -- making me wonder if he was actually hiding information. In the end, I don't think he was hiding anything, but I do think he should have learned more about the $18,000 car he was trying to sell me. Bottom line: I'm happy with the car and the price I paid and the dealer's overall process -- and I WOULD do business again with this dealership and this salesman. But I would have my guard up and remain firm in the face of pressure to sign their predatory "contingency contract" -- and (as always) I would be prepared to simply walk away from any dealer proposal that did not meet MY definition of a fair deal. No Trauma, No Drama When I bought my first used Subaru, a 2000 Outback, in early 2002, all I wanted to do was walk into the dealership, describe my needs, check out th When I bought my first used Subaru, a 2000 Outback, in early 2002, all I wanted to do was walk into the dealership, describe my needs, check out the possible cars, pick one, trade in my Volvo, pay cash and drive away.in my sweet new car. A simple plan, probably naive, but that scenario was exactly the way it happened.. Now, with that car beginning to show its age at 252,000+ miles (yet still running smoothly on long trips), and as I saw friends buying new cars, I decided the time had come. plus my sons, ages 46 and 48, urged me not to hesitate since I do regularly make 4 and 5 hour trips to the Seattle area in addition to traveling often to Portland and the Oregon coast. Without going into details, I felt the local Salem dealership was not very interested in my business. And since I was determined to find a good vehicle through a dealership, I poked around on the Auto Trader website and noticed several used Outbacks listed at Lithia so made a call--- talking with Mark encouraged my interest. But he was leaving on vacation for a week and turned me over to Patricio who was very helpful and suggested I look at Foresters; several were available up there. This was on a Friday and I decided to drive to Oregon City the following Monday. I arrived at Lithia around 11 a.m. Patricio was busy and turned me over to Daniel Stiefel who listened carefully as I explained my quest which was almost exactly like my 2002 experience....find the right vehicle, take a short drive, make a decision, pay cash and leave with a car. This time I planned to donate my Outback to OPB; I knew it was a little too used for a trade-in. Insurance, financing, additional paperwork and a quick call to my own Subaru-only mechanic in Salem (after I described the car and said it was at Lithia, he said to BUY IT!) were handled easily by Daniel and the competent staff. The old car will be taken away today (Wed) for OPB by Speed Towing. Oh, almost forgot---I had great help figuring out how to keep my own Crater Lake plates since there was no trade-in. And again, everything followed my scenario. That's the story. Daniel helped me with every aspect of purchasing my 2009 Limited Forester, an absolutely LIKE NEW Subaru. By 3:00 we had finished all the paperwork and after cleaning out of the long beloved Outback, I drove home to Salem. I love my new car and am still slightly stunned that it was all so simple. No trauma, no drama. THANK YOU, LITHIA SUBARU!! More
