W We new what we wanted, and he was very flexible with us. The test drive wad great and he is a hoot! He kept us entertained while we waited to sign. When we picked up the car, there was a miscommunication with the day, so our second key was with him. He drove out that night and dropped it off to us. We live in Tigard, it was quiet the jaunt. We look forward to working with him again! More

We already had pricing from one other dealer and were just shopping at Lithia as they had stock of what we wanted. We worked with a sales lady named Kiki. Kiki was a bit abrasive to begin with and then when we asked for a specific combination of options she told us very confidently that that is not an option. I informed her that yes it was and she continued to tell us it wasn't an option, even taking the tone of "I know better". It wasn't until a co-worker of hers who overheard the conversation and corrected her did she relent. Then we made it very clear to Kiki that we'd already looked at the Impreza and before looking at the Crosstrek, we wanted real prices and price differences between the Impreza and the Crosstrek to see if the Crosstrek was worth looking depending on how much more it cost. She had someone "run some numbers" and came back with numbers significantly higher than the other dealer. When I told her this, she said "Oh these are just number based on MSRP", we then seemed to have a completely unnecessary back and forth about prices based on MSRP vs. real prices that would actually be the payment. I feel like I had to ask her multiple times for some real pricing. All of this after telling her what our down payment would be, that we had no trade-in and that my wife's FICO score was >800. Other dealers were able to give us actual pricing the first time after the above information and assumptions, Kiki didn't seem to get that I wasn't interested in theoretical pricing based on MSRP, that I was interested in ACTUAL pricing based on our variables and dealer incentives, money factor, lease terms, etc. I have a feeling that the "finance guy" tried to play the typical dealership games and Kiki got caught in the middle. We ended up buying from Wentworth Subaru, where we called, gave them the same information, i.e. down payment, FICO score, model and trim we wanted, they came back with the lowes price we'd seen. They then, unprompted texted us an hour later and gave us a lower price because they'd missed a discount. Very happy with the other dealership. I'd also like to add that this was the second time we'd gone to Lithia, the first time was 6 months ago when we'd started our research and the sales person (can't remember his name) essentially brushed us off because he knew we weren't buying for at least 3-4 months. He didn't have time for test drives, he was very hesitant in giving us pricing, he clearly didn't want to waste his time on us. Oh well, Lithia's loss. I will never go there again and will tell anyone who will listen not to go there, it's a shame too because they are the closest Subaru dealership to us. More

First, they nickeled-and-dimed us over a few hundred dollars on the trade. Second, they offered us a price for a warranty that was $100 over cost, and then later offered us a different/lower price that was also, supposedly, $100 over cost. There were other aspects of our experience that made me question the integrity of the staff. I understand their job is to sell cars and make money, but the overall experience did not leave me feeling good about the dealership. This won't be the first place I look next time I'm in the market for a car. More

The day before I came in to sign the paperwork, I simply asked for certain documents to be provided and printed out for me to go over, such as the service inspection sheet and warranty details. These were not ready when I came in for my appointment. The sales associate, Michelle Powers didn't understand what a service inspection sheet was and I had to ask for it again several times before it was provided. Before it was provided, she kept telling me that it was a three year old car and didn't think that it wasn't necessary for me to look at this. When it was finally provided, I asked for a copy, which Michelle took a picture of with her phone and sent to me via email. The copy of this that was sent in a picture format was sloppy and totally unprofessional. I emailed her and requested that another copy be made and sent to me. I got a lot of push back before she said she would not provide this for me and that I had to speak with the manager Val. She also said that I had taken a picture of the service inspection sheet which was false. She was the one that had taken the picture. However, all of this doesn't matter. What matters is that when a paying customer requests that a copy be made, this should absolutely not be a problem. I spent $17,000 in cash with your dealership. I shouldn't have to pull teeth with your employees to get the proper documents. I had to drive down to the dealership to speak with the sales manager Val Brown. I told him that all I wanted was a copy of the service inspection sheet. He told me that Michele said "I wasn't going to like being told no." Val said that the other sales associate Roman I had initially dealt with, told him about me and that "I was difficult to please." I was completely shocked that the manager would tell me that his sales associates considered me difficult, simply because 1- I asked for a discount on the car because I was paying in cash and 2- because I wanted a copy of the service inspection sheet. Val also told me that this would be difficult to obtain because he had to "sift through files and walk all the way back into the service department." This took him a total of two minutes. Val then said "he had gone out of his way to make things easy for me." The best way to make things easy for a me as a paying customer would be to provide me with the documents I asked for on the first day I came in, as in getting it right the first time. I wasn't asking for anything out of the ordinary. When a customer asks for a copy of something in a professional setting while making a $17,000 purchase, I would expect it to be sent over as a scanned document or a proper copy made at the dealership. This is what professional businesses do.They do not take sloppy pictures with their phones and send them in the body of an email and then refuse to provide a paying customer with a proper copy. I am so offended by this whole experience that I unfortunately now associate the Subaru brand with bad customer service. I purchased a great car and I should be excited and happy, but now I'm just upset and regretting ever buying the car in the first place. Furthermore, on the first day I was there, a customer came up to me and told me that the staff was difficult and that I needed to stand my ground. The experience with this staff and the customer that came up to me, points to a serious issue that needs to be addressed. It also reflects poorly on the dealership and the brand. After this experience and being told that I was difficult, I'm not comfortable bringing my car in for service. Fortunately there are other Subaru dealers in the area, but this is the closest one to where I live, so now I'll be further inconvenienced because I will have to travel farther. Obviously there is a big problem with the sales side of management and the way this dealership conducts business that needs to be looked into! More

I got by far the best price at Lithia but what really sold me and my husband was the customer service. We had originally gone to a dealership 20 min down the road but after talking with Mark we decided to drive the 2 hours to Oregon to buy from Lithia. Mark was so knowledgible about the vehicle, was pleasant to talk to and gave us a great quote right off the bat. Sometimes you just get a vibe off someone and that’s how we felt about Mark after speaking with him one time over the phone. I inquired about the vehicle online on A Saturday and wasn’t expecting a response until monday. Mark wrote me back within 3 minutes of my inquiry. That’s amazing. My husband drove to Oregon to get a quote on a trade in on my car while I had to work. We expected we’d have to come back on my day off to pick up the vehicle and finish paperwork. Nope! Mark followed my husband home in the pouring rain, a two hour drive just so I could sign the papers and he could give me a tutorial on the car. Who does that?!?! I said we went with Lithia because of Mark and his customer service and that’s exactly why! Love this place, love Mark and love my new Subaru! If you’re in the market for a Subaru, Lithia will not disappoint. More
