Best car buying experience I've ever had. Just purchased my 2018 Subaru Forrester from Lithia. I've been dreading buying a new car from any dealer. The time required to walk into a dealer, bei Just purchased my 2018 Subaru Forrester from Lithia. I've been dreading buying a new car from any dealer. The time required to walk into a dealer, being pounced upon, haggling over price and or monthly payments, term of payments, being passed around from salesperson to salesperson and then off to the paperwork office to confirm all the nasty little details and sign everything was not what I was looking forward to. I took a chance on Lithia through True Car. After picking a few cars on True Car I was immediately contacted by Annie Cook of Internet sales at Lithia. I now had to decide if I was really serious about this whole new car purchase thing. I found myself dragging my feet in responding to Miss Cook. After about two weeks I finally asked for Lithis's best price on a vehicle I was interested in. I was pleasantly surprised at price. Okay now I had a reasonable price for the car I wanted but had not yet talked face to face with anyone at the dealership. I made the appointment with Miss Cook only to find out she would be on vacation and I would meet someone else, here we go with the hand off I thought. I did my homework on price, financing ,terms, outside financing, interest rates and such and felt I was armed with the proper ammunition to confront this unnamed sales person. I also knew a person at Subaru who got me a VIP pass (2% under dealers cost) at Dick Hanna Subaru in Vancouver. With this pass in hand I went to Dick Hanna and viewed what they had. For what I wanted the price soon escalated so I left and hurried to keep my appointment at Lithia. I was greeted by sales person David Meltzer. After a friendly greeting he showed me a car similar to the one I saw on True Car. Same price I was quoted but with some upgraded options. Now I'm starting to be impressed. Test drive was good. Got to go where I wanted. Now time to sit down and talk finance and such. No haggling over price, I opted for the zero percent financing from Subaru. Payment was what I wanted. Went off to sign paperwork where the numbers agreed upon with Mr Meltzer were verified. Now I'm a very happy camper ! I must add that the finance guy Mark was fast and through. Now all is signed sealed and delivered. David, you're the man. He now spent over an hour with me to explain how everything worked on the vehicle. In conclusion I have to say this was the best car buying experience I've ever had. I can't thank Annie Cook, David Meltzer and Lithia Subaru enough. A job very well done. More
