I took my 2000 subaru legacy for a check engine light. They had my car for 27 hours and they did not fix it in the time they said they would fix. Inexperienced and/or incompetent service technicians that fail to identify safety issues and deceptive sales practices. Since August 2021, I have taken my 2016 WRX in 3 times. The first for a routine oil cha fail to identify safety issues and deceptive sales practices. Since August 2021, I have taken my 2016 WRX in 3 times. The first for a routine oil change and inspection, the 2nd time to correct a loose lug nut that Lithia Reno Subaru failed to torque correctly on the previous visit, as well as to replace rear brake pads which were in fact at 3mm and in the "replace immediately" range despite Lithia Reno Subaru indicating them at 6mm and in the "green" range during the previous visit. On the 3rd visit, I was charged nearly 50% more than first quoted for a 60k mile service due to the service advisor taking it upon himself to recommend services himself that Subaru of America does not recommend. At no point was it indicated these were personal recommendations or Lithia Reno Subaru recommendations, not Subaru of America recommendations. I did not find this out until after the fact from doing my own research. Going to get your car serviced, you need to be able to have peace of mind that your car is in good mechanical condition after getting scheduled maintenance and inspections done. You should also have confidence in the ethics of the service advisors you do business with. In my experience, you won't find either at Lithia Reno Subaru's service department. Following a complaint to Lithia corporate, Lithia Reno Subaru finally reached out to me on January 11th. They offered no resolution and instead offered a generic apology for the inconvenience and stated they believe everything was represented fairly. Moral of the story: Potential customers do not be fooled by these responses by owner posted by Randy Goldman suggesting he is a problem solver who cares about resolving customer concerns. I can tell you firsthand he is equally unwilling to resolve complaints and is hands-off in the process. As a result, he defers to his department managers who evidently condone unethical behavior exhibited by their employees. Save yourself the headache and go to a local automotive shop or Michael Hohl Subaru in Carson City. More

I made an appointment two weeks ahead of time and described the problem to the agent. After waiting in line for 20 minutes the agent asked if I could leave the vehicle over night since they were so b described the problem to the agent. I agreed and was given a loaner car. The next day I was told that they had to order the part and it would be done on the following day by noon. At 4pm I tried calling to ask if it was complete, but no one picked up my many attempts at calling. Also no one returned my message I left. Now day 4 finally I am told the repair was completed and the agent was not at work the day before so did not call me. It took another 30 minutes of waiting in line to finally pay the bill (50) over estimate. More

I of course scheduled online and didn't even think about calling to check on prices and just showed up and handed my car over before I saw the insane quote for the CHEAPEST OPTION 30,000 mile service. The "value" price was $1100 and the "preferred" was $1200. I knew I was getting railed but still signed the dotted line because I had to get this service done asap and didn't have the time to find somewhere else on such short notice. Won't make that mistake again and I'm never getting service through Lithia Reno Subaru again. What made matters worse is that I had to wait 20 minutes to just get to the point where I saw the quote when I had an appointment scheduled. More
The guys and gals at Lithia Subaru on Kietzke Ln in Reno are awesome. From sales right through to the mechanics. Always courteous, helpful and so polite. I felt like a queen! Hugo in the front took very good care of me, he was so polite and respectful, and got my service ticket and loaner car ready in the blink of an eye! The mechanic was Ivan, and he too was polite and respectful and very good at explaining things so I could understand. It just doesn’t get any better. The incompetence is astonishing! I went there for a recall and first I was told it was an all day job so I brought my car the night before. They gave me a rental and told me it would be done about 3. The service rep comes out oh they are almost done and now I’m the last customer there and he says I’ll give you another loaner car and for sure it will be done tomorrow. So I get a call mid morning that it’s done. I get there and I see my car and the glove compartment is not flush and it’s kinda bent at the end. Well the ladies at the service garage are friendly enough, I couldn’t get an answer why my car was left like this! I mean how could you look at the job you did and see it’s subpar and say it’s good enough and all the whilst knowing that’s not how it looked before. The only thing I can think of is because I m a recall and not brining money into the store. My car is older and it’s just a glove box but it’s my car. I would seriously rethink any buying of a new car here because eventually it will need to be serviced and it won’t be returned to you the way you left it. Buyer beware, I am out $430.00 from Lithia Reno Subaru . Recently I purchased a 2020 Subaru Forester from Lithia Reno Subaru. I also purchased a couple of accessories for the Subaru Forester at Lithia Reno . Recently I purchased a 2020 Subaru Forester from Lithia Reno Subaru. I also purchased a couple of accessories for the Subaru Forester at Lithia Reno Subaru and scheduled a day to have the accessories installed. One of the accessories, the Subaru Forester cargo separator was not at all what I had expected after seeing it installed. I asked that the cargo separator be removed and a refund credited to my account. Several months later and long story short, Lithia Reno Subaru will not accept the return of the cargo separator for a refund. Lithia Reno Subaru offered a onetime 30% discount on the next service needed on the 2020 Subaru Forester. This discount cannot come close to the $430.00 I spent on the cargo separator and installation cost. This experience has made me a very dissatisfied customer. Amazon has the same OEM cargo separator for the 2020 Subaru Forester on their website. Amazon and their resellers usually have a great return policy. I was unaware that Lithia Reno Subaru would not accept the return of an item if a customer was not 100% satisfied. More
Not posiitive 1, Call from Lithia saying I owe $500 deductible from a previous repair. Told him I was not about to pay that. I was upset and angry. 2. When the repair was done (above) there was another problem under the car that wasn't checked. Had to take it back in to be fixed. 3. Passenger mirror broken. Lithia replaced with wrong mirror, and I need to eventually take it back in for replacement., Replaced with a lower grade mirror that did not match the driver side mirror. 4. My sunroof shattered because of a chip made from a gravel truck. The car then exposed to -3 degrees and up to 37 degrees on top of Pine Creek Pass, Idaho. Called Lithia at least six times and left message for person: 3 times one day, 2 times the next, 1 time next. Never returned my call. Gave up, and used Sunroof Express. 5. I've bought 2 cars from Lithia: a 2013 subaru legacy that was supposed to have all the safety features--and did not. Salesman error. Tried to make up for it with other offers, but would not replace as I had driven it brand new to Idaho (that was when I discovered we did not have safety featueres--blind spot and ability to slow down on its own when approaching other cars. 6.
