We were able to inform Marshall of our need for a 2011 Legacy Subaru. We had done our homework on the internet and were confident of what we were looking for, model, year, extras, price, mileage, etc. Marshall was able to show us the car we were looking for! We took a test drive and decided that we wanted to purchase the car. My husband was very impressed by Marshall's knowledge of the product, clear explanations, and a very pleasant and professional manner. We decided on what we wanted to offer and Marshall presented our offer. We did negotiate on our original offer and were able to arrive at a price that was satisfactory to all parties. The experience with Marshall totally contradicted the stereotyping of the pushy car salesman. We would definitely recommended Marshall to any of our friends who may be purchasing a car. Give Marshall a try!! He is a good guy!! More
Marshall Mendez was the most respectful and well organized person i encountered at Lithia of Reno. Marshall took his time to make sure everything was all right and accurate so i could get the best deal possible. He even went out of his way to show me every car at all their lots until we found the car that i wanted. When it came down to showing proof of residency he took me to my apartment and patiently waited till i found the right documents. I don't know any sales representative that would even think of doing that. Marshall showed the enthusiasm that every person should have when trying to persuade a customer to buy a car.Not one time did he want to take advantage of me because i was young and unfamiliar with financing a car. i would recommend Marshall to anybody that would need a new car or used car.I guarantee that Marshall would treat anybody with courtesy and respect. BUYERS BEWARE!....We went to Lithia Subaru in Reno NV recently to purchase a Used Car that they were advertising. We test drove the car with a very nice young man. The salesperson (Paul from NC) was very nice and this review does not reflect on him at all. This review is for the sole purpose of informing the public not to fall into the slimy tactics that we experienced when the Sales manager and Finance got involved. First off they were asking full (Excellent Condition) Retail Blue Book for a car that was in fair condition at best, mismatched tires, some small dings and scratches etc. So we made them an offer that would be fair by anyones standards which they ACCEPTED. Now the financing starts....the jerk comes out with a 30 month loan at 30%!!..We laughed and told him that was the stupidest thing we had heard and that no deal would happen...He then comes back and says , based on the year and your credit score, we can do it at 18%..Still too high but acceptable for the small amount of money and short term of the loan. We agreed and did the paperwork, They congratulated us, then say we can pick up the car the next day because they were going to repair the brakes before delivery to us. Next day comes, the Sales manager says its not done.....The financing he says...but we can STILL deliver it on the 30% deal right now........This dealership said that my credit score wasnt high enough.....Funny........Just qualified for a 300K Mortgage and purchased a home...but cant qualify for a 5K Auto loan? Thought something was fishy so they took a relatives application.... with over an 800 score .....Still cant get financing.........Went in to speak with the General Manager....He said that he originally approved the deal...wants our business...but could not explain the reason behind the 30%...also says that they dont repair the brake rotors on a used car......we were lied to....When confronted for their lack of professionalism and deceptive business practices, he said..Look I am the one that approved the deal..I could sell it to another dealer for more than what you are paying for it. Ahhhh the truth comes out...Slimeballs wanted to back out of the deal..or screw us with an exhorbitant interest rate to rip us off. PS. Dustin (Sales Manager at Lithia Subaru Reno) You said to us ...I will sell you this car at this price with a condition...That is Tell EVERYONE you know how you were treated at Lithia Subaru in Reno Well Dustin....You can be assured that we will do EXACTLY what you asked us to do....daily! We will tell all about the deception, the inconsistencies, stringing us along, not returning phone calls etc..etc. Our Solution...We drove down the road...walked in to the Honda Dealership, 2 hours later drove home our New 2012 Honda at 1.9% interest rate. ..........without the slightest problem with my credit score..Amazing difference in treatment. We will NEVER purchase anything from Lithia Subaru in Reno nor will anybody we know. More
This place sucks. I have been bring to get ahold of the service department for over a week. They never answer the phone and never return messages. When I am able to talk to someone they say they are not ab service department for over a week. They never answer the phone and never return messages. When I am able to talk to someone they say they are not able to help me and that they will get the correct person to return my call. Guess what no returned calls. So much for service, I guess you guys really don’t want my money or business. More
These guys really shouldn't be in business as a dealer. They seem to make customer service their LAST priority. No one could get the numbers where we wanted them, and once they did, the numbers still kept changing at signing! They owe me a refund of over 800 and Ive seen not a penny. When I call to ask the status of my money, no one is available, or can give me an answer. They really dont seem to care about the customer after the sale ONE BIT. More

Rich was amazing! I lost my car a few weeks ago in the Washoe drive fire and was pretty devastated. When I walked on the lot at Subaru Rich listened to everything I had to say and what I wanted. He showed me a Subaru outback that I fell in love with. He then spent the next week working so hard to get me the best deal he could! We traded in our Volvo XC90 that we were upside down in, and the staff there was very eager & more than willing to go the extra mile to get us into a 2012 Impreza Sedan. We came in to the dealership with a service issue on our old car. While we were waiting to hear what the cost would be we noticed the $199 a month lease option on a new Subaru and laughed about buying one. old car. Then when the shop bill came in we decided the money would be better spent on a new car. The sales staff not only spent 3 days patiently working with us while we decided what to do, they also helped us trade in a broken car which was barely worth what we owed. We were a little worried about qualifying for the loan due to a recent foreclosure, but the finance department easily got us into a brand new forester. Beyond that the salesman worked hard to make sure I had all the features I was looking for and made a very tedious process fun. Then he went above and beyond by following up with us to make sure I was happy with my purchase. I highly recommend this dealership and love my new car. More
