30 thousand mile service was believed to be done. Then service lights came on showing low windshield wiper fluid. Two weeks have passed (six weeks since the service visit) and windshield wiper fluid, brake fluid, and radiator fluids levels are extremely low. After four attempts calling, Chris nor any other Service Manager have responded to calls. The 30 thousand mile Service Visit cost over $600. I cannot help but questions if any works were done on the car. I hope Lithia Reno Subaru does not treat others in this manner. Poor workmanship and poor service. More
These jerks took a $1000. 00 deposit on a 2023 car that they said would be on the lot by 22 September. They have no clue to what they have coming in and quickly say they have no control! I made a formal complaint to corporate but will probably go unanswered! Do t do business with Troy Cowan! He’s clueless and doesn’t keep up with his inventory! Also doesn’t answer calls but will text you as all clueless people! But not usually in a timely manner! More
I made an appt. with Paul Bushnell the Internet Sales Manager to bring my mid 80s parents up to look at a specific certified Subaru Outback. He said that he would be off the day we scheduled and sent me Devon Thomas from sales info. He told me that Devon would be helping us for the appt. We arrived on time and found Devon who said "oh yeah John said you were coming." He then sat us down and told us that "they sold the Outback yesterday. Sorry." He didn't care enough to call us and let us know before we had to spend 2 hrs drive time each way to show up at our pre scheduled appointment. We drove to Auto Nation Subaru in Roseville and bought the same Vehicle and had a great experience! More

I took my 2000 subaru legacy for a check engine light. They had my car for 27 hours and they did not fix it in the time they said they would fix. Inexperienced and/or incompetent service technicians that fail to identify safety issues and deceptive sales practices. Since August 2021, I have taken my 2016 WRX in 3 times. The first for a routine oil cha fail to identify safety issues and deceptive sales practices. Since August 2021, I have taken my 2016 WRX in 3 times. The first for a routine oil change and inspection, the 2nd time to correct a loose lug nut that Lithia Reno Subaru failed to torque correctly on the previous visit, as well as to replace rear brake pads which were in fact at 3mm and in the "replace immediately" range despite Lithia Reno Subaru indicating them at 6mm and in the "green" range during the previous visit. On the 3rd visit, I was charged nearly 50% more than first quoted for a 60k mile service due to the service advisor taking it upon himself to recommend services himself that Subaru of America does not recommend. At no point was it indicated these were personal recommendations or Lithia Reno Subaru recommendations, not Subaru of America recommendations. I did not find this out until after the fact from doing my own research. Going to get your car serviced, you need to be able to have peace of mind that your car is in good mechanical condition after getting scheduled maintenance and inspections done. You should also have confidence in the ethics of the service advisors you do business with. In my experience, you won't find either at Lithia Reno Subaru's service department. Following a complaint to Lithia corporate, Lithia Reno Subaru finally reached out to me on January 11th. They offered no resolution and instead offered a generic apology for the inconvenience and stated they believe everything was represented fairly. Moral of the story: Potential customers do not be fooled by these responses by owner posted by Randy Goldman suggesting he is a problem solver who cares about resolving customer concerns. I can tell you firsthand he is equally unwilling to resolve complaints and is hands-off in the process. As a result, he defers to his department managers who evidently condone unethical behavior exhibited by their employees. Save yourself the headache and go to a local automotive shop or Michael Hohl Subaru in Carson City. More
