The sales staff treated me well and didn't push. The bargaining was pleasant and fair. Just one complaint....there is a cup holder between the seats that was broken, and it is an expensive fix. We didn't notice it until we left the car lot. When I called I was told it wasn't covered on the cars original warranty or theirs. I will have to fix it myself it is a common problem with my car. This would not stop me from doing business with these excellent people. But, make sure and check EVERYTHING. Update......Now that I have the car for a bit, yes, here it comes... there was a problem with the window regulator. Thank goodness that it was still under factory warranty. It has been repaired. Now the real problem, I bought the car in the winter with overcast, when the sun came out, the windshield is very severely pitted. I am terribly disappointed. A new one costs $340. Is is very bad. It seems that it should be illegal to send out a bad windshield. Like I said check everything. Next, Here's a bit of good information for car buyers, when dealers offer an undercoat for the car, skip it! Go directly to the Linex or whoever does it in your area. Two dealers quoted us prices...one was $325, one was $375. We took ours to linex..they could only get to a small portion of the car due to the great amount of plastic so it cost us $50! Linex put it up on the lift and quoted a price instead of a flat rate. Our car is a 2014 Jetta. They said it is very common in the new cars. The dealers offered the undercoat for noise reduction, it does VERY little to reduce road noise. I never called them about the other issues because I was immediately shut down when I asked about the cup holder just two days after I bought the car. What's the point? We also purchased the extended warranty through the dealer. I am seeing terrible reviews on this particular company. I hope we don't ever need to use it! The woman in finance at the dealer said the warranty was "bumper-to-bumper except the bumper" my cup holder was not covered. The consumer complaints are frightening. I normally do lots of research on purchases, but we were in the middle of negotiation when we bought the warranty. I may pay dearly for it. So what I have learned is- Never shop for a car in the rain. You can't see the true condition of the paint (terrible swirls that had to be buffed out) and glass (pitted) Check everything- One consultant said that the dealers basically just make the car "SAFE" . I wish I had known all of the issues so I could have chosen to make the repairs or not....a choice that the dealer GOT to make. Make no mistake, friendly car dealers are not friends. Handshakes and kindness do not guarantee your satisfaction..at the end of the deal you have to drive it!! More
