Sold me a 2013 Hyundai Accent while I was homeless with kids promising me this was a quality vehicle and additionally a warranty. Now I have a windshield that leaks water and comes away from the car but th kids promising me this was a quality vehicle and additionally a warranty. Now I have a windshield that leaks water and comes away from the car but they won't fix it. It's cosmetic according to them. They insinuated I may have done something and stated after they test vehicles it's as is and your problem. I gave them my 2018 Nissan and ended up with a 2013 pile full of leaks in the windshield and doors. They're all about profit, not safety or doing what's right. It's nauseating how they take advantage of people. I was not the only one in with a purchase from them that had issues. Read the reviews. Wish I had, but I was homeless with kids and needed a vehicle. There are literally tons of reviews, not good. Please beware, I strongly recommend you go anywhere but here. Shame on you, Nissan, and Cruz Moreno. By the way he told me yesterday he didn't remember me because he sells so many cars he doesn't remember anyone. Absolutely atrocious. The update is as of 01/27/2023 they replaced my windshield but fought it down to the wire. Luke Fisher is the only staff member who actually stepped up to the plate and got the job done in a professional and pleasant manner. He has great communication skills and follows through. The rest of Nissan should take note because he's the perfect example of how to conduct business. Thanks, Luke!! You helped ease my anxiety tons and made a horrible experience better. More
Our experience at Lithia Nissan was absolutely awful. If my husband didn't need an electric vehicle so quickly, we would have walked out and never returned. The salesperson was friendly and talkative, bu If my husband didn't need an electric vehicle so quickly, we would have walked out and never returned. The salesperson was friendly and talkative, but he did not listen to us. I specifically told him when we arrived that we had preapproved financing and did not want our credit run again for other offers. He did it anyway - and he did it by deceiving us and saying he was sending it in for "final approval." I found out later that was false information - it is just a tactic dealers use to try and get their own financing. The next day, I received several "credit alerts" because my credit had been run more than once in less than 24 hours. In addition, the salesman told us we HAD to buy extra items (a car monitoring/safety service and a paint/interior protection plan) to get the price listed on the car. We refused because we did not want or need those things. The salesperson actually admitted that they price the vehicles lower so that they can add these "options"! We ended up negotiating to get the safety service removed from the total price and added a warranty instead. It is probably something we would have considered anyway on a used car, but it was not offered until we refused the other "options" - which are not really options. The overall negotiation was nothing less than adversarial. It was not a relaxed or easy transaction by any means. We were not happy with the final price because it ended up much higher than the salesperson told us it would be when he first ran the numbers. On top of that, we had two children with us, which the salesman knew, and we kept asking to get things done more quickly so that we could take our kids to get something to eat. He assured us it would be about 20 minutes, but more than 3 hours later, we were still waiting - our kids were hungry and tired, and we were incredibly frustrated. We waited forever to see the financing person, and he kept us in his office another 45 minutes, waiting for a form to be sent over. I became more and more stressed worrying about our kids waiting, and I told the financing person to let me sign the papers so we could leave. We found out later that the form was not necessary for us to take possession of the vehicle, and it was sent the next day. The whole thing was such a waste of time! We got our financing ahead of time to avoid all this frustration and headache, but it happened anyway. We have purchased our last two vehicles through Carmax, and after this venture, we will definitely go through them to purchase our next car. This was a terrible car-buying experience. We felt betrayed and duped, and a week later, I am still angry about it. More
They sold me a used car where the engine broke down within a month, they "fixed" it, then on the way home it happened again. They take none of the responsibility and act like I'm asking outrageous que within a month, they "fixed" it, then on the way home it happened again. They take none of the responsibility and act like I'm asking outrageous questions when I ask for a free loaner, for the warranty I was forced to purchase so they "wouldn't lose money on the car" which is not covering any of the work. Buyer beware. More

When I was n the process of purchasing, I told salesman what I could afford, and they wanted me to pay a little more for the payment. I didn’t want to, but was told that they would thro in an extended warranty for 3 years. Well, since I purchased my vehicle, I’ve had it in twice. Lithia covered for the first repair. But, last week, I took car in to have some issues checked out. They told me that all the repairs it needed weren’t covered under my warranty. Come to find out, I DO NOT have an extended warranty, I have a powertrain warranty. So, of course the repairs weren’t covered. They did repair ac drain plug at no charge, but the rest of the repairs totaling about a $1000. I feel like they baited and switched me! I’m really disappointed in Lithia Nissan of Clovis. I don’t recommend them. I feel they are dishonest! More
I am a single woman and a fulltime healthcare professional. I'm not super comfortable with buying cars and I don't have a lot of time. I decided to go with a dealer because even though I would pay more, I expected a well checked-out car in good condition. I was told numerous times by the manager of this dealership that the cars were extensively checked out by their mechanics. After paying TOP dollar for a used car, within a week my oil light came on and I noticed a large oil leak in my driveway. After taking it to a different Lithia, I was told I needed a camseal replacement. I don't like being lied to and I don't like being ripped off. I would strongly suggest choosing a different Lithia to do business. More
Avoid purchasing vehicles here. I’ve purchased many vehicles and this dealership is by far the worst in terms of fair, ethical practices. To start, they have three up sales on u I’ve purchased many vehicles and this dealership is by far the worst in terms of fair, ethical practices. To start, they have three up sales on used vehicles that are absolute trash. One is some sort of BS clear coat ($1000), the other is a battery warranty ($1000) and the last is some sort of gps anti theft device and coverage. ($1000) all of which are trash. They’ll claim the clear coat is already added to the vehicle so you must purchase it. Nope. They’ll claim the gps device will cost $300 to remove from the vehicle if you don’t want it. Nope. I’ve never purchased enough batteries throughout the lifetime of a vehicle to justify a $1000 warranty. Nope. All trash, scumbaggery up sales. They’ll also claim that you must purchase at least one or two of these options. Nope. Total BS. Get that quick lube up sale crap out of here. It’s embarrassing to your business. Furthermore, they’ll attempt to distract you from the actual out-the-door price. They’ll continue to direct your focus on payment amount vs actual total cost. This is where they, and many other unethical dealers make a god awful amount of money. If you focus on payment, they’ll destroy you in total cost, plus interest. Then, they’ll play the standard exhaustion game. They’ll make you wait around while their finance goober “runs numbers” to the point where you are hungry and ready to leave. It’s a feeble and sad attempt to get you fatigued and more likely to agree/ sign documents just to get out of there. Their last attempt of an up sale/ rip off is when you sit down with the finance lame. He’ll get you with a warranty and absolutely rip you off if you don’t pay attention to your final financed price. I’m talking in the neighborhood of $5000 extra, plus interest. In short, though their practices are somewhat common in the auto dealership market, it doesn’t make it ethical. Praying on lack of knowledge of folks and those with poor credit is so very wrong. These practices can destroy lives and should be criminal. Id imagine their employee turn around rate it’s pretty bad as there is no way to maintain relationships and build return customers while utilizing such practices. Shop here pre approved and don’t budge on anything or find a dealer with more ethical practices. More
Update to review below: The dealership's general sales manager called me and told us to come back in so that they could make it right. They did end up taking everything off that we did not want. I sales manager called me and told us to come back in so that they could make it right. They did end up taking everything off that we did not want. I am happy with the resolution, though it created extra headaches. Also, we were going to keep the gap coverage since we were told we needed it to get the lower rate; however, they even removed that and we still got the lower rate. In this way, I feel like were walking out better off than we would have during the sale is they had not put the other things (except gap). My honest advice to potential customers is to come with you mind ready to pay attention to everything; especially make sure that what is on the contract is the same as what you agreed to. Also, do not focus so much on the monthly payment; there are many ways to get that down. (They can find a way to get your payments to where you want and still get extra money out of you. Pay attention to the price of the car first, as dealers from my experience (not just here) tend to keep your attention on the finance terms and mostly, the monthly payments and away from the price of the car. I think i also forgot in my first review that you cannot expect two keys, and they will not tell you that when you purchase the car. If you are on your toes, the dealership isn't that bad. They are friendly there, so no problems with that. ----- Dealership uses deceptive financing and contracts. They will add things you specifically say you do not want and things they said they would include for free. They stole over $7,000 dollars from us. Also, the salesman kept trying to get me to be the sole or primary borrower when I said no to that over three times. Moreover, don't expect a full tank of gas or negotiate a price. Note: I can't delete the online answers; this sale was not done online. More
We’ve bought both our cars there and we never had a problem during that process, but where we always have an issue is where we take our cars just for a oil change! Like yesterday I show up there is peo problem during that process, but where we always have an issue is where we take our cars just for a oil change! Like yesterday I show up there is people waiting and o my one person there and tell us to wait by our car like 1. How is our fault they don’t have enough people working there2. My appointment was at 1030 I got there at 1005 and they say it was going to be two hours I was like okay then I told them I was going to do errons here across the street and tells me it’s going to be ready at 430?? From two hours to 430, so I made time went across the street waiting til 1230 nothing so I went all the way home to sanger cause I wasn’t going to stay there doing nothing for about 7 hours so I called at 3 NOONE ANSWERS THE PHONE! I called them I get transferred to the guy that helped me let’s see Fred, and he doesn’t pick up then I called agin on service nothing , then randomly a guy calls from Nissan of Clovis saying he wants to buy our car I’m like wow so they call me but not the service people strange! So I told the guy I’ve been trying to reach out and he’s all I’ll let them no, get this I receive a text not a call that my car was ready and out of all the oil changes that we’ve taken our car since 2016 I’ve never gotten a text always a call, this is pathetic! so I show up to the deal shop and surprised I see three people sitting there but no one answered the phone and my car was parked by the other cars !Ridiciouls! Clovis Nissan offered me a good price for my 2016 Nissan Rogue SL, but I do not believe it was enough. Then they turned around and sold me a 2013 Honda Civic EXL for about the same price, so they can make t Rogue SL, but I do not believe it was enough. Then they turned around and sold me a 2013 Honda Civic EXL for about the same price, so they can make their money back on what they bought from me. The day I was supposed to pick it up, the salesman that sold it to me, Navarro, took me for a test drive and the air was not working.. He told me, in 105-degree weather, to drive it home and make an appointment. I am 66 yrs old and had my roommate with me that was 71, and we are supposed to drive a car without air in that kind of weather? The day I sold my Rogue they made us unload the car right there, by giving us two black trash bags, and did not even help load it into another car because they were heavy. that should have been offered. They told us they would take me to my next appointment and that was it, so here we are in very hot weather loading two large bags by ourselves. Jordan droves us to the appointment and he never helped my handicapped roommate or helped us to unload the bags. First of all, when I took my car in, I had no intention of having them take it that day because they never told me over the phone. but they did and left us stranded at our appointment. I believe they should have offered a rental car at a lower rate, but they did not until I would not take the until it was fixed. Al Pacheco gave me a rental car for two days free. I had to hurry and try to find someone to pick us up with two big bags. I was out in Clovis and my friend who ended up picking us up had to drive from Madera to Clovis. There is more to write about Clovis Nissan and how we were treated. We had to go through 3 salesmen to get a nice one that didn't lie to me..His name is Caiden and he was a gentleman, but the rest lied to me. There was only a $1,000 difference in what they paid me for my car and sold me a car that was 3 years older. I told them how much I wanted to pay for a car. The car I have now was $15,000 and I told them I would not pay $15,000, so they lowered it to $14,999.99 which is only a dollar difference. There was a reason I could not go over that price, then I bought an extended warranty for a lot of money and they added it to the car price, which put me over $15,000. I asked very nicely to change it to not be on my car price, but they would not do it. So you might be thinking why would I buy such a crappy car, I was desperate by that time and they knew it. I take care of someone that had doctor's appointments almost every day. I was paying $700 a week for a rental and I had it for almost two weeks, so that was what I spent out of my proceeds from the car. Navarro blamed me for wanting the car and that is why the air was not working so I would not take the car until the air was fixed, so I did not take the car that day. I told Aaron Navarro, "I am not driving this car without air conditioning."They were forced to fix it before I took the car. I had one test drive, but the speed limit was 50 MPH, so the car felt fine. Once I drove it home I could feel a vibration between 55-62 miles per hour. The balance was off so I called the General Manager, Al Pacheco, to find out why they sold me a car that shimmied. I took it back in and I was told the tires were put on inside out but that is impossible, so another lie. I wait for the Honda that day and they said they turned the right side out, balanced them, and the shimmy was fixed or I should say my receipt says, "Shimmy is not as bad". Once I got on the freeway to go home, it started shimming badly. I did not call them back, because they had lied so much, that I had to pay another $66 to have them balanced at Les Swabb. Nissan of Clovis sold it to me with a shimmy that is still happening at 55-62. They knew it and did not disclose it. In fact, they had me sign a paper stating the only blemish on the car was on the back bumper. Since this car is a metallic light gray, it is hard to see ALL the dents. After I had signed that the only blemish was the back bumper and accepted it. They showed me the car and right away I see a dent on the passenger door where there is actual rust. Caiden says to us, "Well you know it is an older car and things like that happen", but it was too late to not take it home. When I get it home, I find out the rearview mirror did not have a cover over it. So I have one black and one silver rearview mirror, then I walked around to the driver's side of the car and a big dent in the front fender. I was now parked in the shade where I could see ALL the dents and scratches on each side of the car, but it was too late because I already bought the car. I would not buy another car them ever. They sold me a car that had more miles on it than mine. Mine had brand new tires that cost me $1,000 and they would not go above $16,000.00. Now I have a bad car that shimmies and is dented everywhere on both sides of the car and they will probably still sell my Rogue for what I initially paid for it. My Rogue only had 38,000 on it and the other car had 130,000 miles on it. They saw an old sucker and lied their way into me buying the Honda for only $1,001.00 below my Rogue. So now I realize this Honda is only worth about $5,000.. I have no recourse except to let people know how they lie and cheat to take advantage of senior citizens trying to buy a car. I only had my Rogue SL for 3 yrs and 1 day and turned around and bought a lemon from the same people, so I guess they would say that is my fault. I take responsibility for my part of not being smarter and being taken advantage of I blame the rest on them. I had to take my car to Les Schwab for balancing, That cost me $66 which I should not have had to pay. Schwab said it can be a bent rim, cha-ching I thought! So I drive home from Schwab and it still does it just not quite as bad. I called them back and Schwab told me it might be the tires are so cheap they won't balance. If that is the case another cha-ching I don't have, so I guess I have to drive it this way until I can save the money. Being a senior citizen, I am on a fixed income. This car is costing me way more than I sold my car for. The reason I sold my car was that the gas prices are so high I wanted a smaller car. I would never recommend Clovis Nissan, but I would recommend Fresno Nissan. I was looking at cars there and I found one, the same year for $12.000.00 and in better condition and worked with me for a lower price They didn't lie to me. Al Pacheco, who ran Clovis Nissan told me, "Why don't you buy a car from us?" I told Al I had already put a deposit on another car at Fresno Nissan and he said he would take care of it, which he never did. Every time I asked about the $250.00 with a salesperson, they kept telling me, "That's Al Pacheco's deal, but AL never transferred from Fresno Nissan to Clovis Nissan, so in the end, I had to take care of it myself. That would have paid the down payment on the extended warranty. That was the 1st lie to me, but I had already bought the used Honda, otherwise, I would not have come back to Clovis Nissan. They were in trouble and trying to buy used cars because they were having a very hard time bringing in the 2022s and their inventory was very low So they screwed me badly on a used car that was way overpriced. I looked it up on Edwards and I was honest about everything. CarMax would not give me any more than $1.000.00-$5,000.for it, so I cannot sell it and buy a better car that doesn't shimmy. I hate this new used car and in hindsight positively would not buy another car from Clovis Nissan. If you go there to buy, you will be lied to, pushed into buying a car that was way worse than my Rogue, and cost me only $1,001.00 less than the Rogue they purchased. They made a lot of money off me and I paid cash. This whole thing was a bait and switch. I have called finance 4 times to find out if my warranty can only be used at a Nissan Dealership and why haven't I received any paperwork on the extended warranty, with no return call as of yet, Funny how many times they called me to buy my car and now I never received a return call from Eric or Andrew. They sold me a car that I never had never seen before until after it was too late because they said it was in service and in detail. It wasn't on the lot yet, so how can they sell me a car I have never seen? They guaranteed me it was a good car. Another lie. As far as I am concerned they are liars, cheats, and thieves. More
