While investigating who I could contact to perform the repairs, I was struck by the fact that many could do part of the repair but none could do all of the repair work (including engine repair). I was then referred to Robert Wadsworth at Broadway Ford which is about forty five miles away from where I live. When I met with him showing him my boat frame, he assured me that he understood all the work needed to make my boat not only operational but look new again. He gave me a rough estimate of total costs for repair and we agreed upon an acceptable and fair rate for labor used to perform the work (he assured me that due to the size of this repair, he was reducing the normal rate by about 50%). This work would include floor replacement, boat seat replacement and re-upholstery of front seats and boat side walls, installation of a new Bimini Boat Cover, exterior hull polishing and fiberglass repairs, boat trailer repairs (including light replacement, rewiring and painting), electrical repairs to vessel lights and gauges, replacing the boat dashboard covering and performing outboard motor engine repairs and tune-up. When you think of all the items mentioned above, this requires a great deal of various skills and knowledge to perform these repairs satisfactorily. Not only were all repairs performed satisfactorily, they were all performed exquisitely. The timing for these repairs was also very good. The price was very close to the original estimate. Travel Woes Had blown plug in Excursion while traveling from Canada. Dealership helped us get good rate on rental car for weekend as the shop was closed on Saturday (would have been nice). Finished work on Monday and had us on our way home by 11:00 AM. Found some other issues while doing work and attended to same. In the end our vehicle was running better than it had in some time. This was not found by our home dealership. Very impressed, happy with work done and fair price. Only issue would have been nice if service was open on Saturday, but we all need a life away from work. I give the whole team ***** (5 stars). Would go to them again and if traveling and knew needed some work would plan service there. Highly recommend the team at Broadway Ford, thanks so much for helping us out of a pinch and easing the pain. More
