Per a recommendation from a friend in 2022, I took my Escape to Lithia Ford in Idaho Falls for service. The service counter agent kept me up to date on all progress. The techs did a thorough job on diagn Escape to Lithia Ford in Idaho Falls for service. The service counter agent kept me up to date on all progress. The techs did a thorough job on diagnostics as it took several attempts to reach the problem. They fixed the problem and the car ran great. Job well done! I made another appointment to have my Escape fixed by Lithia in, 2023. There was a 30 day wait. At the time of services they were looking to do two recalls and a check engine light. I checked the code with my OBDII it was a P0236. The counter agent called a couple days later. He said the car was ready. On pick up there was a major disagreement between the counter agent and me as to the billing. He now wanted to charge a diagnostics fee. I had questioned him several times as to repair costs prior. He stated each time there was no charge as they had not done anything to the vehicle other than the recalls. But they had cleared the code with no further action. The assistant manager intervened and corrected the counter agent’s billing mistake. When I started the vehicle the code was still showing. Lithia’s service manager called latter to advise me there had been a mistake made with the diagnostics code. He asks if I would return the car. I returned the car. It took a couple of times to correctly diagnose the problem. The techs did a great job on the repair. The car performs like it should. I am very satisfied with the tech’s work. Thank you to the service manager and assistant manager for their oversight in making the experience a satisfactory one. More
On June 19,2023 I had my 2013 ford f150 ecoboost towed for st anthony motors to lithia in idaho falls.it need warranty work done on a manifold. And a wiring harness and crank sensor I was going to pay for for st anthony motors to lithia in idaho falls.it need warranty work done on a manifold. And a wiring harness and crank sensor I was going to pay for since warranty wouldn’t cover it.I called down down and told Jason what my pickup all needed when it was dropped off. I know what it needed because it just left the Chevy dealership.1 month passes and no word from Jason. I call and he tells me his tech is trying to find out why my pickup doesn’t have spark. I told him it don’t have spark because it don’t have a crank sensor. He told me it has a crank sensor in it ok. Jason calls me three weeks later with a list of parts my pickup needs that cost over 12,000. After I told him what I wanted replaced. I drive to idaho falls and tell him face to face what I want done he said ok and ordered parts. He calls me a week ago and says the wiring harness has been changed and the pickup still isn’t starting. I ask did you change the crank sensor, he said yes we will half to dig further into it. 8-21-23 Jason called and said you were right, the tech was working on the manifold and noticed it didn’t have a crank sensor. Duh I only told you this 1000 times! 8-22-23 Jason calls and asked if my pickup had a motor swap because it takes a round sensor and the hole is square. I said no it takes a round sensor. 8-23-23 Jason calls the pickup starts but it needs a new head because it cracked when the tech was drilling the exhaust stud out. I said the tech broke it that’s on you! He told me I’m not eating all of that. But I can cut you a deal all knock 400 off the 8000.they broke it they should fix it! Jason and his tech suck, you would have better luck taking your pickup to an elementary school More

I am only commenting on the quality of the service department and not the Quiklane or Sales departments which I have not experienced. I brought my Ford Escape into the dealership on June 1 after rece department and not the Quiklane or Sales departments which I have not experienced. I brought my Ford Escape into the dealership on June 1 after receiving a Engine Service Light required constantly on while on vacation over Memorial Day holiday. Issue 1: I made an appointment over the internet for 7:45 AM which was allowed, but the attendant had no idea that I had an appointment. Apparently, Lithia does not use the internet and only shows that they open at 8:30 AM. I called the attendant at 10:00 and was told that my car should be ready by noon and that it was a bad spark plug, wires and distributor issue and would cost about $500. As I was walking back to the dealer, I received a call at 11:15 and the attendant told me it was harder that they thought to work on my Escape and they needed to keep the car overnight. I was billed $549 for the initial repairs. June 2: The attendant called at 10:30 and told me the mechanic drove the car and the problem was not fixed and the problem was now a bad injection system and that they did not have the part to repair my Escape and would have to expedite them from Denver. My car was not driveable. June 3: No parts. I called 2x during the day to check because Ford never calls to give me an update. June 4: Parts still had not arrived by 3 PM when I called. June 7, 8:30 AM: I rode my bike to Ford dealer and asked about my car. The parts had arrived on Friday near close of business per the attendant, but no call to me to inform me. I had to ask when I would get my car and was told that I could expect my car to be next in line after a brake job. I was told I should expect my car today. June 7, 3:30 PM: Still Waiting, no update. Is this the dealership you want for a simple repair and quality feedback? Were my plugs and coil the real problem or just a symptom and an unnecessary repair? I'll never know. June 7, 4:30 PM: Attendant called and said injectors were replaced, but car now vibrates so badly all the time that it will damage the engine to continue to leave running. I only had this issue when I started it up first thing in the morning over the holidays and it ran fine when I brought it in to the dealer for repairs on June 1. Their work has made my Escape undriveable and a danger to me to drive. More troubleshooting to evaluate a possible damaged engine/cylinder tomorrow. More
