Hello Vana, I want to offer you my sincere apologies for your experience. I think our service department should have done a better job communicating your A/C problems with you. I looked into the A/C repairs on your PT Cruiser and I had a long visit with my service manager reviewing the entire transactions. We normally start with the least possible repair estimate then we address any additional repairs that we may found. We do not want to fix or charge our customers more than they should. We started with fixing your fan since it was not working hoping this would fix your problem, but it did not. Then we found out that your A/C had some sort of restriction due to using “Freon with stop leak” Product which gummed up and plugged your entire A/C system. This problem was communicated to you by my service advisor and new estimate was giving to fix the new founded problem. We had to replace the Orifice tube in order to allow the Freon into the A/C system because of the “stop Leak” products. Also, we did an A/C flush the best we could with the old parts still there and we recharged it with new Freon. My service advisor recommended additional repairs as an evaporator, condenser and receiver dryer to ensure that all traces to “Stop Leak” products are been removed. I was told that you turned those additional repairs down. Our best guess is that there could be more traces of the “Freon with stop leak” materials in you’re A/C system and specifically in the recommended additional repairs.
