Thank you to David Principe the Service Manage for contacting me in reguards to my review of March 24, 2014 on Lithia Chrysler Jeep Dodge RAM of Billings. They did agree to look at my Jeep and fix it for the cost of the part. When I went into the service department the customer service was above and beyond. When the service department call me to let me know Diagnosis and the cost of the part to keep me as a customer informed. I was a little surprised due to the part that was quoted to me as around $120.00. When I looked up the part on the computer at their website it was $64.03. I called the service department back asking why the difference in price. The service department could not answer my question but would check with the parts department and find out. When the service department returned my call it was stated the $64.03 was online price only. And that if the service department gets the part from the parts department the cost is around $120.00 to repair my car. I asked if they would consider only charging me $64.03 and was told yes they would be happy to this time. I have driven away a happy customer due to the customer service people of Lithia Chrysler Jeep but will not do business with Lithia Jeep in regards to there practice of 50% mark up on parts. I know that it is normal practice that the mechanic shops have to mark up the parts they order and as a consumer I make it a practice to check the cost of the parts that are charged to me. The locally owned mechanic shop I use does not I mark my parts up 50%.

Hello Marcus777, We are sorry for the inconvenience caused by the belt replacement. It is normal for the belts to stretch, and we should have tightened them a bit more to begin with. Our Master Certified Technician did the belt replacement, but nothing he did required him to do anything with the battery.
