Working with this dealership was an absolute pleasure. I contacted them about a Jeep I was interested in, and Jeff contacted me almost immediately after my inquiry was made. I made an appointment to come in and test drive (the dealership was 90 miles away). Before I made the trip, I wanted to make sure things were in order and I wasn’t making the trip for no reason. Jeff was a delight. He made sure the Jeep was ready for me and there were no surprises. I must say I was astounded. My experiences with other dealerships were not so pleasant. They usually lure you in with one car and try to sell you others or change the price on the one you want… not at Lithia!! The purchasing process was amazing. They didn’t come at me with a stupid crazy offer that was pennies for my trade and thousands of dollars more for the Jeep (which is always very insulting). They were fair from the get-go. There wasn’t much back and forth and no sleezy hidden costs. I left completely content. I bought my Jeep and got good money for my trade. I am one happy customer. More

Was super excited about getting our dream car! Though, once they got most of the deal settled... we brought it in multiple times for oil changes (which you only get one free). They didn't fix the issue and had actually not done ANY OF IT, and charged us for every one. It was a modified vehicle and they sold us a bogus warranty saying that it was good for the car. Within the 60 days, the car had a lot of issues and they had sent us to our local dealer, and sent their own inspector. Needless to say they kept saying there was no problem. There was and it was confirmed. Then, they told us the warranty won't work, and we had to pay out of pocket. We had told the manager, and they denied to even help us even though it was THEIR bogus warranty. This dealership doesn't care for the quality of the car or value their customers in my own personal experience. We were so heartbroken over the neglect that they had shown to us as customers. More
I purchased a vehicle from Lithia Dodge about 5 weeks ago. I should start off by saying that my experience the Jaime the salesman was good...no complaints. We had agreed on a price but the day before I ago. I should start off by saying that my experience the Jaime the salesman was good...no complaints. We had agreed on a price but the day before I was coming in to pick up the vehicle I received an email that the sales manager could not let the vehicle go for the agreed upon price and asked me to pay $1500 more. We eventually agreed to split the difference. I still thought it was a good deal but I was still disappointed that they didn't keep there word. After 3 weeks of driving the vehicle I was having some issues with the brakes. I took it to a local dealer and was told that the front and rear calipers were not releasing completely causing damage to the rotors and pads and that the emergency brakes were seizing up. I then took the vehicle to Lithia Dodge in Portland to get the work completed covered Lithia's 60 day/3000 mile warranty. They had the vehicle 10 days and the only thing that was repaired was the emergency brakes. They would not cover the rest of the braking system because they were "wear and tear" items. I understand the rotors and pads but calipers should last longer than the 61000 miles that are on the vehicle. Total repair quote from my local dealer to replace all calipers rotors and pads is $1000. I will probably end up doing this myself. Fast forward to yesterday...The weather here reached 70 degrees and I turned on my AC only to find no cold air coming out. I took it again to my local dealer and was told that there was a hole in the compressor and that there was no refrigerant in the system. The service tech said that the leak was not recent. Total repair quote $750. Apparently it was overlooked in Lithia's 160 point inspection. I just reached out to Lithia to see if the AC is covered under my warranty or if this is another "wear and tear' item. I was also told that the tires needed to be replaced because they are so weather checked between the treads. It was suggested that driving around town was fine on the tires but recommended that I avoid towing and taking long trips. Cost of new tires is roughly $1000. In the first few weeks owning this vehicle I am going to be investing nearly $3000. I would have preferred that Lithia had been thorough in their inspection and taken care of these items and added them to the price of the vehicle. I purchased this vehicle from Lithia because they are a well established and well know dealership. I read reviews of the dealership before pulling the trigger on my purchase and I felt good because of all the positive experiences that other consumers had shared. I wanted to be one of those people. I realize that I am one person and the fact that they will never get my business or any of my friends or family's business will not affect such a large dealership but I still wanted to share my experience.
