Mary- Thank you for your review. We're happy to hear that your vehicle is now repaired. unfortunately Lithia can't guarantee the work of any other Service repair facility. With 24,000 additional miles, and 4 Non-Lithia shops working on your car over the last 11 months it's impossible to review our work or substantiate your claims. However, we were able to determine that your recent ball joint failure was a result of your vehicle being overloaded, exceeding its payload capacities. With that being said our work is guaranteed, and parts are always backed by a warranty. We have received no other claims to support your statement of "part supply compromises". If you have any future repair work done that is completed unsatisfactorily, please return to the servicing dealer immediately. We value your feedback, and view this concern as closed. Thank you.

The obfuscation and mendacity displayed in your response are truly astounding. It makes no sense at all. Obviously, I have not requested guarantees for part installed by other mechanics, and none of those parts have failed. You can substantiate my complaints, because I have the documentation and several of the parts. Lithia has been doing my van’s regular maintenance, tires, and repairs for many years, and in all that time, no one has ever suggested that the rig was overloaded. You just made that up on the spot. Perhaps you are saying that the Lithia mechanics installed the wrong size ball joint, inadequate to the vehicle? It would be part of their job to use the correct part. And are you suggesting that ball joints only last about 20k miles and can be expected to snap in half at that point? Ridiculous. The previous ball joint had lasted since at least 2008, when I bought the small RV. It wore down with heavy use and 150k miles, but never broke. When the idler arm broke in Colorado, are you suggesting that I should have driven home to have it replaced at South Lithia? Ridiculous. Yes, other mechanics repaired the damage done at South Lithia, because the only parts that broke were those installed at South Lithia. In the interest of brevity, I left out many salient issues with Lithia’s service (or lack of same). For instance, they took a month after the appointment date before they even started on the vehicle, (probably due to their supply chain issues). The wheel assembly was not properly lubed on either side. (Lower ball joints were not greased, although upper ball joints were.) An incorrectly placed sensor cable would likely have failed. The control arms (which I have in my possession) were unsafe, stripped out, which could have led to the loss of a wheel. They charged me for an alignment that they never did. They massively overcharged for all of it. It’s been a nightmare… And all I’m asking is my money back. If, as you say, “…our work is guaranteed, and parts are always backed by a warranty,” why would you not refund the money? All the parts that failed were less than a year old. If you stand behind your work, do so now.

Hey Lithia Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram FIAT of South Anchorage, I reached out to your Service Manager a week ago and never heard back. If you're legitimately interested in caring for my allegations, reach out. I'd recommend backtracking 42 weeks ago to where the saga starts. I've got the original request, each pick up/drop off date, whatever the receipt/release yellow papers are called, text messages, audio recordings, and call logs to back up my side of the story. I'm out hundreds of dollars because of the unacceptable and unethical choices of Lithia's service department. Your comment followed up by being blown off by Brent is just a continuation of the trend.

charmedneurotech- Thank you for your review. We appreciate your feedback. Our recent implementation of the Net Check-in application has significantly improved wait times and efficiency's. In general, reviews have been positive. We're sorry your experience was less than stellar. We'd like to discuss your concerns and see how we can eliminate this frustration for you in the future. Your patronage is appreciated, and your time is respected. You're Semi correct in stating that " If your name is not on that list, you will be refused service." All express Services need to be scheduled on the Net Check-in waitlist. Checking in online allows for the accurate computation of Service times. Allowing unscheduled walk-in's would render the tool wait timer useless. The intended design of the application is to allow customers to see "when" to drop off their vehicle for immediate service with no wait times, other than for the Service to be completed itself. Once the vehicle is being worked on the only variable would be the time needed to complete the services requested, and part availability. A simple oil change should be quick and efficient. If you dropped off your vehicle at 7:35, but your wait time on the application said 190 minutes you were in fact 3 hours and ten minutes early. If you would have dropped off at 10:45 your vehicle would have immediately gone in for service. The Net-check tool is accessible via desktop and browser. No need to download the application if unwanted. At your convenience please reach out to our New Service Manager, Brent Vandenbos @ 907-868-9381.
