Absolutely the worst service department. I usually don’t take other reviews into consideration but I should have for this place. If you need work done I highly recommend you go to Eugene or Portland even Idaho before here. I brought my jeep in multiple times for the SAME issue they said they had fixed the first time. They did not. Each time they wanted to charge me the diagnostic fee. They gave me a quote for about 2500 for repairs. I decided to wait but told them I should not have to pay another $185 diagnostic fee when they told me it was fixed the first time I brought it in. They told me they wouldn’t give me keys until I paid and they had every right to charge. Long story short after the disagreement and absolute rudest customer service staff I’ve ever encountered, the manager told me I was “fired” from coming back in there. How In the world do you refuse a paying customer service is beyond me. I asked to speak to the GM and he informed me he wasn’t in the shop today and that I could leave him 50 voicemails and he would never answer my calls and he would have the service manager Jared would tell me the same thing every time that he has every right to refuse service to me. He also told me the reviews do not matter to them. This shows a lot about how they care about their community in Bend and actually serving customers. Another sales manager called me to “squash and sort it all out” and to get a better understanding of the situation. NEVER in my life have I been banned from a store or any business. They are a publicly owned company. It really blows my mind that they don’t care about their customers. The sales manager spoke with the service manager on how we could get my jeep fixed and interestingly the quote came back almost doubled this time around at $4900. Same service needed. I even have the original print out quote they gave me the first time around at $2500. Just goes to show they are not honest. But hey they don’t care about reviews or screwing over customers. I’ve owned 5 jeeps. I contemplated buying a brand new one but after this ordeal I would never purchase from Lithia. I highly recommend you search elsewhere. More
As a new customer to the dealership, I must say I was 100% disappointed with the overall customer service and professionalism of my service writer and service manager. The salesman pushed me to buy the car that was on the lot by the end of the day... One star is too generous. I went in for a simple oil change. Here what happened and my message to the service manager and GM. Hello Jared, There are some significant iss I went in for a simple oil change. Here what happened and my message to the service manager and GM. Hello Jared, There are some significant issues I’d like to discuss with you tomorrow. This morning I brought my 2020 Ram Promaster (Winnebago Solis) in for a simple oil change. The van has just 7500 miles on it and ALL I needed or asked for was oil change. Here’s what happened: The guy inside the service door to the left says “ya you’re here for an oil change, brake fluid flush and tire rotation”. I said “no” I only need an oil change. He swears aww xxxx something about xxxxty internet connection and sends me over to a guy across the room. This guy says “ah ya Dahl 10:30 appointment, you’re here for an oil change, brake fluid flush and tire rotation”. I say again No just an oil change. I tell him the tires only have 2000 miles on them and I get all my rotations done for free at Discount Tire. I ask – for future reference – what was the recommended interval for brake fluid and he tells me every 30,000 miles. I tell him I certainly don’t want that as the van only has 7,500 miles on it. Later this afternoon I get a call from Ethan who leaves a message saying they have a major issue and with my after-market wheels. He says the paperwork still included brake fluid and tire rotation and in trying to remove the wheels they destroyed (one-or-more of the lug nuts?) and maybe some additional damage. (that wasn’t clear). Net result is that he need to order parts which might arrive Friday or Saturday. I’m leaving on a long-planned 3-week trip with my son on Monday. NONE OF THIS should have happened if your service department didn’t willfully neglect my explicit instructions. To me this goes beyond incompetence and is systematic and illegal business practices, and “over-servicing”. I’m in touch with the Better Business Bureau and similar agencies to report this. I’m including Steve Burnett in this message as I am also a Jeep fan, own a 2015 Wrangler Rubicon and am in the market for a new Wrangler Unlimited. However needless to say, this experience will have me looking elsewhere for any Jeep purchase or future service. And I will be sharing this experience on a bunch of Jeep Facebook groups, online review sites, and with all the Jeepers and camper van owners I know in central Oregon. Christopher Dahl Bend, OR More
I went in having done a lot of research on vehicles in my price range. I had it narrowed down to three - one at another dealership and two at Lithia. When I went in, Jose greeted me as I got out of my vehicl price range. I had it narrowed down to three - one at another dealership and two at Lithia. When I went in, Jose greeted me as I got out of my vehicle and walked toward the dealership. He spent quite some time with me going over the vehicles I wanted to see, test driving both, and discussing what I wanted. I really liked one of them but wanted to look at the third choice. Once I did that, I came back fully appreciating that rather than Jose trying to SELL me a car, he instead helped me buy a car I wanted. He listened to what I wanted and went above and beyond to make sure I got the car I wanted. And I love it! I would HIGHLY recommend Jose if you are looking to buy a car. Side note - when I went to the OTHER dealership to look at the third car, I was sorely disappointed. The vehicle was great but too big and boxy for me. Instead of listening to what I was saying - my price range, the vehicle type I wanted, etc. - the SALESman spent half an hour looking up facts, specs, and reviews on the vehicle that HE wanted to sell me that was $4000 over my price range, went over statistics on the dealership and on the specific brand they sell, and barely looked at me the whole time! I kept telling him I wasn't interested in that car and he kept going and going, completely ignoring what I was saying and what I wanted. The absolutely worst thing you can do is try to sell me what you want me to have. I was polite the whole time I was there and was VERY HAPPY TO RETURN TO LITHIA AND JOSE TO BE TREATED LIKE I MATTER!!! More
