Because of our great distance from the dealership, they were willing to do som The staff was open to a long distance transaction on a used Expedition. Because of our great distance from the dealership, they were willing to do some paperwork and work on the transaction by phone and email. I appreciated this convenience, as this takes trust. We were unable to come to an agreement on price, so I selected another Expedition from another dealership that was also willing to work by email and phone. Today, I drove home my Expedition purchase that I am delighted with from the other dealership (I bought the vehicle site unseen for slightly more money than the vehicle available at Litchfield Ford, but it had fewer miles, and am happy with the purchase). However, although this first transaction from Litchfield Ford was not completed, I appreciate the time we worked together to try to make the transaction work. I would recommend this dealership and if they were willing to work long distance again in the future, I would consider them again for a future vehicle purchase. More
after sale treatment purchased a used 2011 gmc . there was no owners manual in the truck. salesman said he would take care of it. after 2 months i got an e-mail saying he purchased a used 2011 gmc . there was no owners manual in the truck. salesman said he would take care of it. after 2 months i got an e-mail saying he had my manual. an envelope was sent to me . i opened it to find another envelope still sealed , addressed to someone in torrington with a return address from an on line auction site . inside was a manual for a chevy silverado. pretty much the same truck but not what i paid 25 k for.. sent two e-mails to salesman expressing my concern and so far have gotten no response. Very Disappointed I bought my 2010 Ford Explorer about 2 yrs ago and when I bought it the salesman, Jeff Paulsen, and was told that if I had any service problem that Li I bought my 2010 Ford Explorer about 2 yrs ago and when I bought it the salesman, Jeff Paulsen, and was told that if I had any service problem that Litchfield Ford would come pick up my car at work in Hartford and leave a loaner for me to use in the meantime. When I had my 1st problem I called and was told they only had 1-day loaners and they wouldn't come pick up my vehicle. I had to bring it in. I didn't like being sold being told one thing and then another happens when you have a problem. Would not be buying another vehicle there. I actually went to Crowley Ford and the fixed the problem and I was extremely happy with ALL of their assistance. More

The salesman was great until the deal fell through then he was on to the next sale next customer instead of helping me find something else I could afford. Sales manager should have known better himself to work with the customer rather than just yell NEXT like its a deli. Anyhow was approved for $50k tier 1 business loan through Toyota and took delivery the following Thursday. USE CAUTION WITH THESE GUYS More
Could not find the problem.. still billed me for nothing I had an intermittent issue with my 09 F450 derating or losing power on a hill. Thanks for wrecking my Shelby GT500 I was the owner of a 2008 Mustang Shelby GT500. Back in September I took the car in to have the clutch replaced soon after the repair the car was sto I was the owner of a 2008 Mustang Shelby GT500. Back in September I took the car in to have the clutch replaced soon after the repair the car was stored for the winter. So the nice weather came and I had taken the car out in early April and something was making a horrible noise coming from the clutch area so I took the car back to the dealer and took the service manager out for a spin to show him what was going on. This happened in .1 of a mile from the dealer not exceeding 35 miles and hr. So we go back into the dealer and I get an appointment of 4/21 so they can get the car on the lift to see what was going on. Then the morning of they decide to take my car out for a test run on cold roads…. At this time of the day and a car with 550hp it got away from the driver and they hit a concrete barrier over a bridge totaling my car. After doing a little investigating and gathering information the operator was given by a State trooper a written warning and was the cause of the accident he claims he was going 50 miles and hr shifting into 3rd gear (more like 65-70) also driving the car over 2miles (seems more like a joy ride). At this time I was paid out by the insurance company of the Ford dealer but how is it possible they destroyed my property and nothing happens to them… Car is not replaceable 1 of 20 made with these options in 2008.... Called up Owner Chris Hill asking why he didn't fully reimburse me and he says he refunded only the part cost as an offer of "goodwill" and the coupons toward a new car from them. Really? And my car after 8 days at your shop, unnecessary work performed, a bill for $1070.00 plus, an ADDITIONAL day at the shop and another bill of $170.00 to clean the control housing which STILL did not fix it and you think this is ok and that I'd actually be stupid enough to buy a car from your crappy place???? WOW. No. Time for court. More
My first interaction with the dealership was very good and I would have recommended them to anyone I know at the time. However, because of a lousy $15 - $20 touch up paint that was promised at the time of the purchase but never delivered I cannot. I was told to expect the paint in the mail shortly after I purchased the truck but it never arrived, so I called the salesman who said he would send out another. It, too, never came. When I spoke to the salesman in person he made the apparent pretense of ordering the paint. I say apparent pretense because I never received the paint. I appreciate that he offered to provide the paint without my asking, but if you promise something; not once but three times, you should keep your word. For a trivial amount they made me a dissatisfied customer. More
