I have hesitated to write this review because I wanted to be fair and allow Lindsay Jeep the time to resolve the problems I have had with them; I have been assured they would do this but as we all know, "tal be fair and allow Lindsay Jeep the time to resolve the problems I have had with them; I have been assured they would do this but as we all know, "talk to cheap"! So, in January 2024 I bought a Jeep at this dealership. Typical high pressure sale from the get-go and of course, they kept insisting I needed additional manitenance and warranty add- ons. I was stupid; I never should have gone into this dealership alone but I was so used to being treated so differently at the dealership I have dealt with for years that well, as I said, I was stupid! Everyone knows this is how car salesmen behave! After we got through the negotiations, I went to the finance manager and once again, the "you need this" sales game continued. I kept saying no but he insisted, "at his price, for $50, I needed the car maintenance add-on". I don't know what $50 he was talking about because it was an add-on of $1995 that I never realized because eveything was done on his computer screen; no paperwork was ever given to me, which again, I was stupid. I now realize this is when I really should have just walked out of this dealership. I actually had to call and ask to have my contract mailed to me; talk about a shady deal! After realizing what happened, I immediately called back and cancelled this $1995 add-on but then, it took OVER THREE AND A HALF MONTHS TO GET MY $1995 REFUNDED TO MY BANK WHO FINANCED THIS DEAL FOR ME! No help at all from Lindsay; basically I was told it was my problem. Great, you got me into this MESS now I have to get msyelf out. And yes, months later some women named "Jackeline" who claimed to be Mr. Lindsay's personal assistant assured me that she would help me but like I said to begin with, "talk is cheap"; she's not real good at responding to my emails and she's even worse at keeping her promises. Next was the issue of temporary tags. When the 1st temp tag was about to expire because Lindsay never sent me the hard plates for this Jeep, they issued me a 2nd temporary tag. Without getting into all of the details (cause, like everything else at this dealership, this was another MESS I had to deal with), I then received a speeding ticket in the mail for this Jeep. The only problem was that the photo on the speeding ticket showed the temporary tag issued in my name, but it was on a Mercedes SUV! There's quite a difference of appearance between a Mercedes SUV and the Jeep Wrangler I bought! Very obviously someone was RIDING AROUND IN THEIR MERCEDES SUV USING TEMPORARY TAGS ISSUED BY LINDSAY DEALERSHIP IN MY NAME. I guess I should be thankful this thief at Lindsay only got caught speeding but what if he or she was involved in vehicular homocide with temp tags on their car issued to me? And, within the next few weeks I'm getting notices that my personal info has been compromised; this never happened to me so it appears that someone I gave my personal information to (like how I gave it to the finance manager at Lindsay Jeep to get my loan, my social security number, my banking info, etc.) was now using it for other purposes. This was another issued I asked this "Jackeline" to look into. She asked me to "give her time" but how much time does this take and how much damage is going to be done to me, my driving record, and and my credit while we get to the bottom of this MESS? I give up! I've been advised to file police reports (theft of my temp tags, possible theft of my personal info) and file other complaints, including this review: Me? I'd never buy a car from this dealership again! And I have been fair; I have given them plenty of time to resolve these issues. I would have imagined Mr. Lindsay would have been on the phone with me within minutes after hearing about what was going on at his dealership but there's been no contact with me at all. And, THAT speaks volumes in itself! More
