Boy have things changed. I used to rate Lincoln of Troy 5 stars, and not it's hot garbage. I don't leave negative reviews lightly, in fact I rarely ever have. But when, ov I used to rate Lincoln of Troy 5 stars, and not it's hot garbage. I don't leave negative reviews lightly, in fact I rarely ever have. But when, over the course of a week, leave 3 messages (since no one will answer), use the chat bot (Anna) 3 times, call a dozen times hoping you'll talk to a human, and sign up online for service yet still can't even get a call back, I'm forced to do this. Absolutely go somewhere else if you can. I don't know what happened... More
As you can see from the most recent reviews, Lincoln of Troy’s customer service is awful… Service: collision shop When you think of Lincoln, you think -great customer service. This has NOT been the cas Troy’s customer service is awful… Service: collision shop When you think of Lincoln, you think -great customer service. This has NOT been the case at Global Collision- Troy. From the time I called the customer service was poor. They had no loaners for 1-2 weeks (I-was told) over 3 weeks later I called again and was told the same thing. No loaners, the manger Bert said “we told you 4-8 weeks” which was a lie. I was told by their associate, Jeff, that it would be 1-2 weeks out. Even at that, no customer should have to wait over a week for a loaner. I pay over $600 a month on my 22 nautalis and received such horrible service. I came from owning Cadillac for years and they provided such great customer service and care when working with customers. Lincoln definitely dropped the ball. When I had my car at a Genesis Cadillac body shop they were out of loaners “due to shortages” and they spent the extra money and rented me a car from enterprise. That is what customer service is about! Why is their a loaner shortage? Because their body shop is busy, meaning they are bringing in a lot of business and money, but… Lincoln couldn’t invest in their customers to ensure a safe vehicle to drive? They told me to keep my nautalis until the parts came in, that way I would still have a vehicle. I didn’t drive the vehicle because the entire hood was bent open and progressive insurance advised me not to drive it, in case the hood flew open and caused more damage or injury. 11/21- I got a call that a loaner was available. I came to the shop, dropped off my 2022 Nautalis and was given a 2011 Lincoln MKS. An 11 year old vehicle. The car wasn’t even ran through the wash. Upon entering the vehicle, I noticed the low tire pressure light was on, the gas light was on- 50 miles to empty and the light lamp light was on. I called the shop and let them know that the gas was on E and they said “oh yeah we don’t fill the fuel, that’s how we do it” -Jeff at collision. How is this the type of customer service Lincoln provides? Why aren’t customers who pay over $600/mo treated with courtesy and exceptional customer service? Why won’t Lincoln invest in their customers, the way their customers invest in them? This is such a disappointing experience. I put a request for the general manager/owner to reach out to me to discuss how we can resolve and correct these issues. I will update my experience IF and WHEN these issues are resolved. 11/22/22 - Michael the "general manager" called me this morning and was just as rude and dismissive than the other employees. This seems to be a common thing here. Michael did not provide any solutions, he told me I could take my car elsewhere. The poor customer service complaints on these google reviews are evident that the general manager does a poor job on training their employees on customer service. It starts from the top. I would highly suggest taking some customer service courses for yourself and your entire staff... This experience made me question ever getting a Lincoln in the first place. I would NOT recommend this shop if you want a good experience and quality customer service. 👎 👎 👎 You've been warned! More
Had an appointment at 9:30 AM for repair. I showed up at 8 AM instead. I was willing to wait. Service told me that they may get to diagnosis but were not sure if they were going to get it repaired until the following week. Service later added that they are super busy and that they are still playing catch-up from earlier in the week. I guess Lincoln of Troy has yet to learn the meaning of an appointment! More
Kelly at Lincoln of Troy was enormously helpful, kind and considerate to me today. I had been driving my grandchildren to and from school when the light went on stating I had low tire pressure. I decided t considerate to me today. I had been driving my grandchildren to and from school when the light went on stating I had low tire pressure. I decided to take a chance and drive straight to the dealership even although it was 4:45 pm. Despite the fact that the dealership was taking no more appointments, Kelly was kind enough to help me out and put air in my tires, at no cost. I am so enormously relieved to be once again driving a safe car, especially since I have to drive my grandchildren to school early tomorrow morning Kelly made an exception for me and I am very grateful. If only everyone could be as kind, considerate and professional as she. Lincoln of Troy is a wonderful dealership. Signed, A grandmother in need. More
If I could give the Lincoln of Troy Used Car Department zero or negative stars, I would do just that because the customer service and friendliness level was AWFUL. I REGRETTABLY purchased a 2017 Nissan zero or negative stars, I would do just that because the customer service and friendliness level was AWFUL. I REGRETTABLY purchased a 2017 Nissan Rogue from the used car department on May 3rd, 2021 (Please keep this date in mind). I didn't have a problem with the salesperson (David Holcomb). He was decent to work with. However, the Used Car Sales Manager (Tom Schneider) was a pain in the xxx to work with, combative, arrogant and a genuine Grade-A xxxxxxx. Clearly the salesperson doesn't make any decision with what to let the price of a vehicle go for. That decision, if there's negotiation and haggling involved, generally falls to the sales manager. Of course, every good customer should do their due diligence and negotiate the best terms for their bottom line. While working with Tom in trying to get the price that I felt I deserved, he was condescending in the way that he talked to me often with a raised voice, "I'm not lowering the price, TAKE IT OR LEAVE IT!" The listed price of this Nissan Rogue was $16,200 of which he lowered it to $14,700. I knew their Rogue was priced higher than other Rogue's listed on the internet (with similar mileage and equipment). But, given that we're still in a pandemic and my personal situation, I took the deal. Once I told them that I was financing the car with my credit union, Tom couldn't be bothered anymore. Tom didn't thank me for my business, congratulate me, or even so much as talk to me after the deal with finalized. I even went to try to smooth things over by thanking him and he gave a simple nod without speaking as if he couldn't be bothered anymore while printing out window stickers for the other vehicles on the lot. I have purchased A LOT of cars from a lot of different places all over the country. And, this was by far the WORST EXPERIENCE I've ever had and the WORST that I had EVER been treated. Mind you, I traded (or sold) a 2015 Jaguar XJL Portfolio a few days (at another dealership) prior to coming into Lincoln of Troy. I attempted trading it at Lincoln of Troy, but Tom gave me a low-ball offer and I decided that I could do better somewhere else and not put it in the deal. Following the agreement to purchase the car for the aforementioned price, I sat for nearly 2 hours while waiting for a Finance Manager with no other customers being served. It was as if I was being punished for being a "bad customer," not allowing full price, and not getting any aftermarket (GAP, Extended Warranty, etc.) with the F&I guy. This was also the first time I even bought a vehicle from a dealership and didn't even have a full tank of gas in the car. I drove away with a half-tank of gas and did so because I no longer wanted to deal with Tom Schneider and the Lincoln of Troy Used Car Department. What made matters worse was that I purchased this vehicle on May 3rd, 2021 with 74,073 miles on the vehicle. 14 days later on May 17th, 2021, I had to take it to Suburban Nissan of Troy down the street from Lincoln of Troy less than 400 miles later (74,433 miles) for braking noises and difficulty braking. Both the front brakes pads and rotors had to be replaced because they were worn down below safety specs and the rotors (according to the inspection report) was rusted and heat cracked. Additionally, The brake fluid was low and the automatic transmission fluid was low. The service advisor that I worked with told me that this car should not have passed inspection and even been placed on a lot until all of these issues were taken care of. And, he indicated that the vehicle would not have passed inspection at their shop. He buttoned it up by saying that 400 miles of driving would not have caused this much wear. It was sold to you like this. The service cost over $900 to complete. I ended up calling Lincoln of Troy and ultimately spoke to Tom Schneider again demanding that they pay for the costs to cover the work that was done on a vehicle that should not have passed their inspection. And even though this car wasn't certified, this car was well below the state safety guidelines for being sold. Tom Schneider noted that his Service Department Director did the inspection himself and that everything checked out. He then victim-blamed me and said, "The car was good when you took it. I don't know what you did with it in that time. So, that's on you." When I stated to him again, this time with some teeth (and firmly but not yelling) that, "Lincoln of Troy was going to xxxxing pay for this," Tom began yelling and screaming over me, "YOU'RE NOT GOING TO TELL ME WHAT TO DO. SEE, I WAS GOING TO HELP YOU, BUT SINCE WE'RE ON A RECORDED LINE AND SINCE YOU HAVE A BAD ATTITUDE, YOU'RE ON YOUR OWN. AND, YOU CAME IN HERE FOUR TIMES TRYING TO STRONGARM US FOR A DEAL. WE'RE NOT GOING TO BE CONTROLLED." After going back and forth and the both of us yelling over top of each other, for about 15 seconds, Tom hung up on me. TOM xxxxING HUNG UP ON ME! First, shame on me for not doing more inspection on this vehicle for buying. Second, shame on me for not walking away for good when I got the AWFUL customer service the first time. Thirdly, I had to deal with coming out of pocket to pay for service that should've been placed on a vehicle that was not equipped to be sold minimally for safety reasons. I'm a former on-air television anchor and reporter and I'm so tempted to call up the many friends that I have working in the Detroit television stations (Local 4, ABC 7 or FOX 2) to have them come stick a camera and microphone in Tom Schneider's face and make him eat all of that xxxx. I really honestly hope that call was on a recorded line too so the dealership can hear that particular call. But, I will see what the Lincoln of Troy Owner & General Manager has to say before I take the next step. My anger has turned to true disappointment that the Sales Department is an example of why car dealerships get the bad rep they have. There are truly good people working and doing right by customers. Tom Schneider is the WORST KIND OF CAR-SALESMAN xxx HOLE and the WORST of the bunch by a COUNTRY MILE. But, what does this guy (speaking about me) who just moved from Kansas City expects when coming to Detroit. Welcome to the car capital of the world I guess. More
Purchased 2017 Lincoln MKC (certified pre owned) and it’s been in the service shop more than with me. Service is horrible!!! I’ve taken this vehicle back 3 times; going on 4 for the same issues!! I had it’s been in the service shop more than with me. Service is horrible!!! I’ve taken this vehicle back 3 times; going on 4 for the same issues!! I had the vehicle for under a months time and had taken it back 3 times! Now, it’s been almost 7 months and I’m taking it back for a fourth time for the same issues. I tried scheduling a service appointment at another Lincoln location and the manager told me to take it back to Troy!!!! They don’t even want to touch it!! Buyers remorse!!!! Spoke to manager Mark of pre owned vehicles and he told me to come in to see what can be worked out. But, once I got there and he saw my Black face he had a change of heart and a bad case of selective amnesia. It was as though he’d forgotten that he had spoken to me. On the phone he was nice, but in person he was very condescending and rude. I’m definitely sick and disappointed. I will NEVER purchase another Lincoln. More
Brought my Escape in for the "Works" package using a coupon. Drove all the way from Macomb. The "Works" includes oil change, tire rotation, etc. Despite the work sheet indicating all the services were p coupon. Drove all the way from Macomb. The "Works" includes oil change, tire rotation, etc. Despite the work sheet indicating all the services were performed and a full check-up was completed, I found the tire rotation (at a minimum) was not done. I noticed a few hours later after I got home. I have special marks on my wheels and they were in the same location. At this point I have to question whether or not the oil and filter were replaced - it appears they were but it leaves doubt. I called the dealership to let them know what happened and they offered to have me bring the vehicle back for the tire rotation, but it's not worth my time to make the 1 hour round trip. There are plenty of reputable places for service. More
