My car was there for over 2 weeks waiting for the recall fix, but the part never was delivered to the dealer! It's been about 4 months and the problem started and is still not fixed. My 2017 MKC is part of the battery safety recall. I just moved to FL from PA and did not yet have a Lincoln Dealer in FL. The service department at Coconut Creek told me I had to come in for them to I just moved to FL from PA and did not yet have a Lincoln Dealer in FL. The service department at Coconut Creek told me I had to come in for them to confirm my car was part of the recall even though I had called Lincoln directly with my VIN number for confirmation and also received a recall notification from Lincoln. Total waste of my time, because guess what, they said yes my car was part of the recall. Then they scheduled me for an appointment on 9/11 because “they get a set amount of parts every week and it’ll be no problem to fix because they’ll definitely have the part”. I came in on 9/11 for my appointment as scheduled. The service person said my car could not be fixed because the part did not come in. Then he said, “I guess I should have called you so you didn’t waste your time, but I was busy.” Obviously after 2 fruitless appointments they don’t care about my time. Now they have no idea when they will get the part, but they’ll call me when they get it in. If they would have been up front with me in the beginning and said they would put my name on a wait list, I would have understood that and would not have wasted my time. I am disappointed with my treatment and when I’m ready for my next Lincoln, I definitely will look at a dealership that has a good reputation for service. More
