I did end up purchasing my Ford Fusion from Liccardi and dealt with Scott Lyons and Mike Degrazio, the sales manager. They were both very accommodating in helping me choose a vehicle that would serve my purpose and when doing the financing, I could not ask for a better deal anywhere else. I was happy to find that there was no pressure, everything went smoothly and the paperwork was a snap. I had driven to Liccardi Ford myself, not realizing I would buy a car that day, but the deal was so good and the salespeople so helpful that I ended up purchasing the car. They helped me pick up my new car and arranged for me to pick up the vehicle I drove to Liccardi Ford in without a hassle. I have purchased many vehicles in my lifetime, but cannot recall any deal that went as smoothly or whose sales people were more pleasant and accommodating as those at Liccardi Ford. R. E. Cole More

Issues with Getting a Trade-in Loan Paid off The customer service when buying a car from Liccardi Ford in Watchung NJ is fairly decent, typical "we'll give you the world" type stuff that you deal The customer service when buying a car from Liccardi Ford in Watchung NJ is fairly decent, typical "we'll give you the world" type stuff that you deal with at most dealerships, however after you drive the car off the lot, it is pretty much is non-existent. During the sales process my Salesman told me to not worry about my April payment for my trade-in and that they would take care of it. This payment was due the day I was supposed to pick up my new car from Liccardi Ford, but then they couldn't get that car despite the fact that I put down a deposit, turns out my "new" car that I did I receive had over 200 miles on it (not a huge deal, but still...). I was also transferring plates and the salesman said that in "about 2 weeks" I could come by Liccardi Ford and get my registration and they would put the plates on my car. It took 2 messages to the Finance Manager (that were never responded to), a handful of conversations with the salesman where he assured me the payment was sent to my lenders (it wasn't) almost twice a week since I purchased the car, a poor customer service survey, notification to Ford, 25 days time, a threat of hiring a consumer fraud attorney if they went over that 30 day mark and my credit score took a hit, talking to the business development manager (2 emails before response, the lawyer one was the one that got a response, but apparently they don't check that email all the time), and a call to the sales manager until I finally got them to pay off my loan. I should note that they also opted for "2 day" delivery for Fedex, couldn't even spring for overnight so this issue would get resolved quicker. I should also note that my trade-in has been listed for sales for a few weeks now. Guess they were trying to get the money for that before they paid off their loan. Now back to the other customer service issue that irked me, based on the principle of "if you say you're going to do something, do it." That is, instead of me going to Liccardi Ford to get my registration and them putting my plates on, they just mailed me my registration and I had to do the plates myself. Of course this isn't a big deal, it took all of 2 minutes and I didn't have to keep the Liccardi license plate frame (I do not want to advertise for them after my experience), but it's the principle. I bought a car, you said you would do something, you should do it. My recommendation is if you want a decent deal and you do not have a trade-in then Liccardi Ford in Watchung NJ, on route 22 isn't a horrible place to do business with and if that was my scenario I may have given them 4 stars. However, if you do have a trade-in or you care about maintaining a good relationship with your dealer and care about customer service, I would recommend going elsewhere. There are too many Ford and Lincoln dealers in New Jersey to have to stomach bad service. More

My experience at Liccardi was fantastic. Scott understood my reluctance to drive on Route 22 at night and took me and the vehicle to a more residential area where I would be comfortable test drivi understood my reluctance to drive on Route 22 at night and took me and the vehicle to a more residential area where I would be comfortable test driving the Explorer. The finance person worked with me to get the monthly payments in the range that I was comfortable with, and I was able to drive out with my new (certified pre-owned but very low mileage) Explorer that evening.
